  • this program is for mac and its free through apple i have it, just go to apple site and download it

if it does which one would be alright to use.

  • How old are you dude?

  • how do you create apps with gps

  • Want to make and sell your own iPhone app idea? Download AppWizard to create your own iPhone application without ANY programming

  • how did you get the black dock??

  • What programming language is this? Is it unique to apple or iphone?

  • If people were wondering, Xcode (iphone sdk) only runs on mac computers. It doesn't cost money to download the older version (it costs 5 dollars to download xcode 4 on the mac app store or you get it free if you pay for a developer membership). To actually test applications that you have made on your real iphone or submit them to the app store, you will have to pay 99 bucks to become a full developer.

  • Anthony - I thought your video was very informative and easy to follow...and I know practically nothing about code writing. I noticed that you were operating on an Apple machine - would the same screens appear in the Win7 PC?

  • Great job Anthony. I am just starting to create an iphone app for my school. You have highlighted for me that my task is going to be a difficult one. The code section will take some getting used to. Keep up the good work.

  • Sorry but you do not know what you are exlcaming about .

If oyu are not a programmer do not make it seem as if you are.

    You are an youngling .

  • There are a lot of GREAT coders that use Mac OS.

  • at 9:53 how do you make that little star?

  • TALK SLOWER!!!!!!!

  • alot of apps are ported to mac so therefore those programmers use mac os x as well

adobe does write mac aps (even tho they are bitchin about changing photoshop to cocoa 64bit)

microsoft office was written for mac os first lol , but i dont think ms does any more software for the mac (msn maybe)

also google gives me 51 mac -only dev companies , even tho i havent heard of any cuz i dont have a mac

also all the ported games etc

  • define "famous" , what "famous" programmers? bill gates ? he hasnt written code for years

for example the ruby on rails framework was written on a mac

also have you used xcode? is used by alot of devs to program for the iphone (its kinda the only way) and i have to tell you that no other mobile device has such an outstanding sdk

ummm.....well adobe uses macs (to develop for the mac )

    >_>

  • CRAP!!!!

Use visual basic and make real win applications...

  • I am interested in creating APPS, not got an ipod touch yet. This is my first video I have seen. Hard to follow but I kind of understood it. I guess it is harder to explain to others than to actually do it yourself. One thing I wanted to see was this BLUE button, all I saw was the text tab to enter hello guys/world. I wanted to see this BLUE button.

  • is he wearing a retainer?

  • wow this guy is ....... well im speach less.... MIT dude

  • good luck at MIT kid u have the rite stuff for them

  • how do you fucking know this shit

  • *cough-cough* This kid is fucking smart :O nice videoo

  • Hello

Do you need a Mac to make a Iphone app?

And if i make a game in actionscript, do i have to take the codes all over again on iPhone? Or is it some kind of converter?

    Cheers

  • Yo, I created my own iphone app called nahmean?? Its a slang translator and runs on the soo woo platform.

  • This kid is apparently a code thief.

  • err this guy is a kid

  • Mac OS X sucks what videogames can you even play on it

  • yeh none its shit

  • Whats the point of this video not many people have macs so they cant do this

  • What world do you live in?? TONS of people have Macs. Look at how many iTouch/iPhone apps there are, everyone who made one has a Mac (or used Mac OS X on Windows)

  • Forget the Scode thing.

    But what about the rest?

  • You don't have to have a Mac to use the Scode program, the iPhone simulator, and the interface builder do you?

As an alternative for the Scode, can you use Notepad for Windows?

  • wow genous kid lol

  • i think you meant genius

  • yep, sure did.

  • Are there any windows alternatives to the iphone SDK?

  • I'm afraid not.

  • Ugh. I speak as a developer here.

DO NOT follow this tutorial or this series. This "Anthony" kid is teaching bad coding habits that aren't ideal for people starting out.

Please look elsewhere for good iPhone development tutorials

  • @gilesvang yeah he didn't need any of that code

  • @gilesvang i have a book on objective C for beginners iphone, ipad and mac programming.

  • @gilesvang k

  • This guy is very very good... Learned more here in 15 mins than the apple-provided iPhone developer podcasts.

    Keep up the awesome work!

  • omg how old is he!

  • Awesome

Dude. Still don't get how it turns into a game though.. Lol

  • that isnt a game... he just showed us the basic things for making a application, you have to use the other template to make a game, well you could make a letter game with that template that he used... but you get the point. I hope v(^-^)p

  • i know. i was just saying i dont see how that turns into nazi zombez XD

  • i miss chris. haha.

  • you sound such like an American

  • cause he is an American lol, would do you expect it so sound like part American part British.

  • isn't he? :P

  • this is stupid you have to have a mac to do it

  • my brain hurts

  • THIS Kid can't. I know kids can, I've been on C and ActionScript since i was 8. This kid has a bad history of stealing others' code and claiming it was his.

  • this kid can't code at all. he steals every code he owns, and he stole my game and submit it under his name. Check my videos.

Chris You chould not be promoting this kid

    Unbelieveable

He's been rubbing everyones face with this video for days

Please do something, this kid is hater everywhere.

  • This kids a natural teacher. Very interesting even though I barely understood it.

  • Spoiled brat.. Mac and iPhone.. I bet your parents payed for those.

  • dont hate

  • Smashing. Cheers!

  • how old are you??? i just want to understand the credibility..

  • The star is not a comment, it indicates that the object being allocated/initialised is a pointer, the text after the asterisk is the name of the object pointer. This is important because you don't need an asterisk to create an object, in this case it was needed but not always.

  • dude u r awesome!!!!!!

  • love that half the comments are jealous they got beat by a kid.

  • Hah, this kid is the biggest poser you will ever meet. He copied everything he knows from me.

  • Really?

  • yes.

  • Wow your right they should take down this video. Sucks for you man.

  • you sound like seven. This guy is youripoddoc, and he sucks.

  • what the hell is it with you iphone app people? You speak the way as cidia themes. why do you all sound the same? do you have nothing better to do? you speak so fast and in a mono tone! not good. Just search for cidia themes and watch one of his vids.

  • lol cydiathemes is actual hacks this is actual developing

  • This guy doesn't sound an age over 13 and apparently has had 7 years of programming experience? Personally I don't think a 6 year old could compute such tasks.

  • who cares? still knows more that you about this.

  • This isn't anything I want to learn though, so I have no reason to care about whether or not I know this programming language. I'm glad people can make iPhone applications for the sole purpose of my entertainment.

  • When did i say i had 7 years of programming experience?

  • I took the fact you had the MyCodeTeacher background as your website, or your affiliation with that website. The Anthony on that website has 7 years of experience. I'm not judging your skills, I just put together facts I found, but if that's not you, my bad.

  • Oh ya lol I am just affilated with them, don't make tutorials for them as of now..thanks for the clarification though man!

  • I learnt dos when I was 5

  • Awesome! Sad we don't use dos anymore... I learned DOS when I was 3. I Heart DOS

  • I Use a MaC now!

  • @CasualTutorials Mac's suck :) Get a PC and put Mac OS X on it.

  • Actually... I got a MacBook Pro 17 inch Mid 2009 and put only win 7 on it so win 7 ultimate is the main os!

  • Bleh. Mac's in general dont have much power. I agree with h0w13r, even though it is illegal, Hackintosh FTW

  • Liar >.>

iPhones weren't around when you were 5 (a.k.a. 1978)...unless you're lying about your age?

  • what am i lying about?

  • Said you learned this when you were five, I'm assuming it was a reply to the video. Or in other words, you learned how to program iPhone apps when you were five
