Whenever I change the speed of a clip, it mutes the clip!

How do I get the sound back?

@IHatePeace2222 changing the speed of a clip alters the frame rate which in turns changes the length of the clip. If you were to keep the original audio, the material after the speed change will drift (causing it to be out of sync). I've never used PowerDirector but in the more professional software, you would integrate the Video editing software with Audio Editing software.

After speed change, I'm saving file and it's still plays jerky just like in the preview, but NOT smoothly in slow-mo!

The original file was 1080p and 16:9. Can somebody help?

it is depend upon what speed your cam took the video and slowed. 1080p(progressive) @ 1/30th or 1/60th? if i may use an analogy, then it's like comparing speed motion picture taken by instamatic camera and a SLR. picture taken by a SLR will have better slowmo than an instamatic because it has more shuttle speed options than instant camera in a box. BLUF is that garbage in garbage out.

take the video at higher shuttle speed, if not then a toy cam can do so much...

Mute the audio in the clip and then you can increase to 10X.

@desterpot Same here, I'm using PowerDirector 8 and the "Split" button isnt clickable in order to change the speed. (as instructed at 1:00)

yes there is i have that same version click the video you put in there then click "power Tools" and waahhlaaa you have three options for video speed which is the one you want to slow down or speed up hope this helps or reaches you in time :) peace out

Guys Please help me.... I have cyberlink and do a lot of cloud time lapses....

The Speed setting (even at 10x) isent fast enough! So how do I make it go even faster without converting and dragging in the same clip over and over!???

i have many slow motion clips in my video. but when i am done editing and save my project and return to it later. the speeds are set back to one and it ruins the whole video. please help!

that is what happening to me.. I do over 50 clips and a lot of them have edited speeds.. then my pc crashed. Ok luckily I saved the project.. but what the heck when I open they are all back to original speed. And I spend another hour re doing. HELP PLS

Yes you can slow down to 0.10x, to do this select mute in Audio setting
