  • Yes, beautiful song. :-)

Well, I understand a bit of Spanish. Not great in particular. Thats a trait of Kannadigas :-)

Well, we learnt English: to interact with British, to do trade. Then we learnt Hindi to run the Indian Administration. Now all other languages :-) Always open.

And, you are welcome here anytime!! You will have a memorable stay!!

  • HI, I am from Tamil Nadu. Appreciate and bow my head for the respect you give to your language & the state.A very good example for rest of the indians We learn English to communicate with rest of the indians. To be a true Indians why don:t the people of Tamil Nadu learn any of the other dravidians Languages instead of Hindi.

  • When somebody asks me to describe Karnataka in 5 minutes, I would show this video. Superb collection of photos - old and new!

  • Nice scenarios and scenic views, but I don't like the idea of worshiping idols of some stupid ancient abnormal human beings, monkeys, snakes, elephants bla bla... it's a disgrace to God in the name of stone-idols.

May God show you the right path.

  • thanks for the comments. For someone seeing these types of practices it might seem odd. Rationally speaking idol worship is debatable. There were reformist people in India itself who spoke against idol worship. But one can see it as some representation of God for people to admire. Its like God takes those animals forms. It has been a BELIEF like that not a BLIND BELIEF for thousands of years. Hence it becomes part of the culture and tradition.

  • Hence one should respect that view of the religions of India and its unfair to mock it.

  • Was curious to know what path you are into and how right it is.. Make sure u r well aware of what you are commenting. by the way have you understood the song??

  • too good... thnx for uploading buddy... feels so good listening to it especially being outside India

  • Thanks a lot for the post... One of the best songs.. Also, thanks for th download link...

    Keep up the good work

  • all though i am against "too much" regionalism in karnataka......i respect the right of each state to be individualistic.

I applaud you effort for this video. great work.

  • Thanks,

as told in the translation the beautiful poem envisages a Karnataka in the close knit harmonious group of Indian states and calls mother Karnataka as the daughter of Mother India. So it gives us an idea that if should be proud of both of your nationhood and statehood by equal amounts. Thats a very simple and beautiful dimension to patriotism. Thats why I like the poem so much!

  • Your explanation has multiplied my respect towards karnataka and its people.

  • Me too. I learnt Malayalam in addition to my state Language Tamil. Now I like to learn Kannada Language.

  • Superbly Amazing... I wish you had also subtitled it. But nonetheLess, the theme was understandable, and pictures equated itself with Million words.

    Vande mataram...
