@Chubachus actually the numbers of mass deaths are heavily falsified, primarily cause the numbers were determined by questionable census records. there were deaths but not because of collectivization, but rather an imposed US embargo on grain shipments coming from Australia and Canada which caused significant food shortages in various regions of China. it was the collectivization of grain that actually saved many millions of lives.
