Pirates today are different. Back in the day they became pirates moslty because it was better than what they were doing. Or their ship was captured by other pirates and the choice was join up or die. Yeah, they still killed people back then, but they also recruited a lot and let a fair number of people go. And then the royal courts started hiring them to fight for whatever country and then they weren't considered pirates any more. Then they were privateers.

if people only knew what it was like to be a pirate hundreds of years ago and not have there head filled with Pirates of The Carabian stuff.....it wasnt as cool and clean like the movies....read up on pirates now adays....there sometimes in the news....they recently killed a Family out on open water and looted them....then threw the husband,mother, and kids over board....and yes theres loot and treasure but remember....pirates are thieves and most will kill u so they can have a bigger share....
