Christmas is a recent holiday. Christ's birthday is not on Christmas... rather the Christmas of the solstice was made to welcome pagans into the christian religion... same with easter. Easter being that of a festival of fertility and Yuletide being that of the solstice... so again... where does christmas exist in the bible. My wife and I don't buy any gifts for each other, we wait till after Christmas and everything is 50% off, and we get exactly what we want, no worry about buying wrong size,color etc, I think the whole gift giving thing, should be limited to pre school kids, like the tooth fairy,easter bunny,concept, and older kids should start to learn that Christmas is about giving to someone worse off than themselves.
