I remember never having to wear a seat belt when I was a kid. And car seats didn't exist. Me and my sister would be jumping around in the back seat while passing a cop... No big deal.

It's OK. When the child is killed or permanently crippled for life the parents can live with the guilt.

Oh and IF the child is "merely" crippled for life I don't expect the state to have to expend the funds to take care of the unfortunate crippled child for BECAUSE OF THE PARENTS.

@mrumsower pariently issurance is required by a law because if high population of drivers, even though your driving a $800 car, what happene if you crash into a Maybach, Ferrari, Lamborghini or Rolls Royce, and you don't have insurance? you probably will serve a life sentences in Prison.

I call bull shit on the lady in the 3 vans. I doubt that little girl would disconnect her seat belt. She needs to take responsibility. Let's not forget, there is a 2nd adult in the front seat that can take responsibility too. What's appalling, those 3 kids were not restrained and got WARNINGS, but the one 5 year old in a seat belt gets ticket that's fucked up. It's really trashy when your 17 year old child does not wear a seat belt. Thankfully the 5 year old was wearing a seat belt.
