thi song was over a year old before kylie recorded it, a uk singer called haywoode, who had a uk hit with "roses" in 1986, released it as her 2nd single, but it flopped, check out the video on u tube.
this was recorded in Australia by Mike Duffy a PWL Engineer after the Locomotion. Stock Aitken Waterman were surprised how bad it was as they were with the original locomotion as they rerecorded that in London. I should be so lucky was recorded after both tracks. I personally like it and think it deserved an album track opposed to some on the first kylie album or at least a remix.
This song was the European B-Side to LocoMotion. It was pulled 'off the shelf' by Stock Aitken Waterman with limited time recording time before she flew back to Australia. It was deemed to weak a song and for years was a hard to find song. It resurfaced in the late 90's on the Greatest Remix Hits. It was originally recorded by Heywood and was also covered by Candi and the Backbeats. Not the greatest Kylie song but considered pure PWL gold. An 1987 S/A/W classic.
This is one of my fave kylie tracks. The original can be found on one of the Kylie Greatest Remix CDs I can't remember what volume at the moment but I think its two. I have all four and recommend them they are all two disc sets.
As one of Kylie;s biggest American fans it is great to see the old stuff..to see how much she has progressed...she is a success because she brings humanity to her work and honesty....she is not contrived or demanding
Hmmm.. I don't know. Its okay.. I think the backing track overpowers Kylie's not-exactly-strong vocals. 'I Should Be So Lucky' was a much, much better choice, definitely.
Can you send me the mp3 of the remix and the original song, cause i cant find both, AWSOME work by the way, i really enjoyed both, video and remix, I came to see this video everyday haha
This SO should have been a single instead of "I Should be So Lucky". GREAT REMIX and full of PUNCH!!!!

Excellent! Does anyone know if this was recorded before I Should be So Lucky?
If so, was it produced by Mike Duffy (even though a SAW composition)?

I love Kylie and S.A.W. but it's one of her weakest songs. Not a great melodie.

This song should have been a single, it's a great track.... And this is much better than "I Should Be So Crappy"

I like it better but I should be so Lucky is really quite outstanding. The 12 mix is brill and really makes you want to get up and dance.
