@SharikShakil Install compiz settings manager, then enable Cube desktop. Then ctrl + alt + arrow keys to switch spaces. Or ctrl + alt + shift + arrow keys to drag the current window to another space.
I installed ubuntu on a live usb drive and tried to boot it from my hp mini 110 as well, but it only shows copyright information. ubuntu will not boot up
@mrtn474 For this video I had just installed via Windows with wubi. I also created a bootable SD card using Unetbootin (I think, anyway) which worked, but was a little sluggish, performance-wise. Might give that a shot.
@Fragalishus thank you, and i did, it's works great, but i bet not as well as it would if it was fully installed in a partition on my drive. my netbook already has 4 :\
@chasinghobos It's weird, I actually can get it to connect to the router, but I would get "no internet access" while it was connected. Other times it just wouldn't connect at all.
Going to reinstall Ubuntu. This stupid netbook already has 4 primary partitions on it, tho. So I'm going to have to delete the recovery partition and try and install it there via SD card, as opposed to installing it via wubi in Windows.
@chasinghobos If this has the Ethernet cable connected on the side you just connect it to the back of your router then go to system then administrator then hardware drivers then download the driver and your Internet will be fixed.
@Shiby102 Never showed any drivers for me, but that's probably because I'd already installed it manually when I used a wired connection. Again, sometimes it would connect, but would not have internet access. And when I booted back into Win7, I would have to use the Networking wizard to reconnect. Ubuntu is doing something wonky, like flooding the router with connect requests or something, and sometimes I'd have to physically reset the router to get Win7 working again.
@chasinghobos Not sure if you ever found a fix or not, but I added a link in the "info" area that worked for me, but I am using 10.04 now, not sure if that made any difference.
Basically installing the Broadcom driver in Synaptic or via the "hardware drivers" menu didn't help, but right clicking the package from the iso and installing that way did. Still shows a red exclamation mark in the panel, but it is connected and working, and am using it to type this.

@SharikShakil Yeah the onboard video on this mini is...not good. Cube runs flawlessly on my quad core desktop, tho.
