  • great job of playing this great song

  • I think I lost my comment (either that or you require approval, lost my connection and woulden't know either way)

I would love to know what registration you used at 1:19 -- it sounds very lovely. It is wonderful!

Is that a A-105 Hammond? (or A series?)

You should consider getting that room heated! The Hammond uses many vacuum tubes to assist in modifying and amplifying the sound, they go from cold to hot quickly. The extreme temperature changes could cause problems down the road.

  • nice touch

  • You have a well trained and refined gift. Wonderful choice of registration, and seamless changes. Very few players can get such a "pipey" sound out of any electronic, much less a vintage Hammond.

  • Mark, I just want you to know that it is awesome to hear some one young like you that likes to play good sounding quality music, instead of that "rap crap" that about 95 percent of young people seemed to be hooked on now days! Excellent sound and playing!

  • I don't hear any mistakes.. and if there where, please play them again next time when You play this piece. You are brilliant.

  • One of those rare performers who demonstrate that making music is much, much more than just playing.

  • Mark, My God--is there any musical world you can't conquer? My C-3 and Leslie 102 are just beggin' for your musical wizardry. You are one of our finest!

  • That was simply incredible!

  • Wow! Mark.. You are amazing.

  • mannn you're good!

    I love you!!!

    Wonderbaar ! Excellent!

Hey if you ever visit South Africa... Come show me how you do that on my C3/122 Hamm Leslie

    Jaco

  • I learnt to play the organ on a C2 many years ago. I only wish I could still play. You are fantastic and I love this and your other video on the Wurlitzer. Superb.

  • it is not only the instrument, that is important, but more important is the qualitiy of the player. This organ sounds nicer than the most inspensive technics i have heard on youtube... This organ sounds warm.

  • You manage to pull such a huge sound from that puny console organ. It's fantastic.

  • With the super work you do on the theater organ, it's absolutely amazing what you do on the Hammond, you make it sound so good and with little reverb. I have to drown my songs in echo/reverb to sound half way good. Hope you'll do some more on the Hammond! You must have been freezing in there!

  • Not only talented but cute too!!

  • You are AMAZINGLY TALENTED!!! Wish I was still living in Chicago. You'd be a GREAT guest (who would play for us, of COURSE!) for any party I would throw!!!

  • Awesome Mark!

  • Really nice. Fine old-time sound - well treated Porter-arrangement ! Bravo !

  • Well done!! Mark.

The beautifull typical Hammondsound remembers me the sound of my H112 Hammond in 1970!!

I would like to get it back!!

    Nice greatings from Antwerpen Belgium

  • It's people like you that make me wish I'd kept up with my organ lessons. Fantastic!

  • This young master of the theatre organ makes the Hammond sing and swing as well!

  • fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude! You are incredible. Come play my Hammond anytime!

  • HAHA!!!! I love it!!!

  • just when i thought you couldn't get any worse...once again you prove me wrong OY!

  • Thanks, I love you too. LOL

  • Aw-right!!! Great fun Mark! Shine on!

  • yo hit that fast switch some time but u is nice

  • from one peformer to another: THAT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME! I sing and play cabaret and I hope to get the song down on keyboard as well as you.

  • holy shit your cute!

  • My C2 to is 1954 vintage as well. It is a great organ and I don't miss the percussion. If I do I use my M3. Great work even with the cold fingers.

  • Very nice playing! Love the Hammond Organ. From your attire, let me guess: You don't live in Los Angeles or Miami Beach, hahah!

  • Not quite! This was in Fort Wayne, Indiana this past December. The Hammond was in an unheated room -- about 40* F! My fingers were a bit frozen.....

  • Outstanding Improv work.

    Truly inspiring!

  • Great playing. I love this tune. I started playing pop music on the Hammond in the 60's. Good to see a young person playing the Hammond. My first organ was a Hammond B-2.

  • I do play by ear, but I've also studied classical piano, as well as 5 years of theatre organ lessons from John Ferguson of Indianapolis. So you're a bit off in your presumption, but thanks for the compliment.

  • Wow, that was great! Bravo, 5 stars, and give us some more!=D

  • Sounds Great!

  • very good, your organ has a great sound! Hammond C2 organs are very rare or?

  • The C2 model isn't particularly rare - it is much like a B3, only it does not have the percussion effects and is in a "church-style" case. This particular organ was built in 1954.

  • sweet! show us more!
