It isn't a hack. It kept trying it without any luck, then I put the hinge on the very top (almost not on the circle) and tried again and it worked perfectly!

Most of the "1 shape" or "2 shapes" shown in youtube are considered cheat, since you can use a bug to complete the level using only 1 shape.
