You see murder as only the unjust killing of people because you are speciesist.
Humans thrive on a vegan diet and we share many traits with herbivores: grinding jaws, not disjointed jaws for swallowing large chunks of flesh], long intestines where meat rots [not short to pass flesh quickly], flat teeth [not fangs], digestive fluids in our saliva [carnivores don't have that]. All milk except that form human mothers while we are babies is unnatural. Eggs are loaded w/ cholesterol.
@GriffGruff78 that us very true. the fact this video is showing is that the animals were put on this earth to eat. but not to be treated the way they are now a days. i never even thought about going vegetarian until i saw this video. it changed me life and it changed the way i think about my lifestyle, there is no way you can say this didnt effect you. i have been a vegetarian for 3 and a half years now.
@alyssasjamz This affects me in the sense that I'm grossed out, but that's by the design of the producers. What's probably not intended in the producer's design is the reinforcement of my notion that hunted meat is superior meat and that the chickens my kids feed in the yard every morning enjoy a quality of life on par with any beloved cat or dog, produce better quality eggs and will eventually yield better meat than found on a store shelf.
@GriffGruff78 You miss the point entirely! You see other sentient beings [non-human animals] as things here to serve you. Hunting, or killing an animal who lived in your back yard, is still murder. If I walked up to you on the street and shot you in the heat, skinned you, and eat your flesh, that would be murder. There is no difference. All animals want to live and enjoy their full life, not have it cut short. They have the right to their lives and bodies.
@actionforanimals I actually recognize the point the producers desire to present quite clearly, however, there is a very real difference between predation, the slaughter of livestock, the killing of game and the legal construct of murder. Murder is, loosely, the unlawful killing of a human without justification or cause, therefore, to apply the term as equivalent to the taking of game or the slaughter of livestock is fallacious and fails on multiple counts. I do not share...
@actionforanimals (pt 2) ...the attitude that animals exist to serve humans, but I do recognize that my species has adapted to a diet including a variety of animal source macro and micro nutrients and, further, I recognize that many animals are well suited for consumption by humans. I'm open to changing my mind and I'm interested in what you have to say, but it has been my experience that an abundance of reason and logic doesn't often follow an equation between hunting and...
@GriffGruff78 The attitude that animals are here to serve humans, that they are property, or lesser beings who we can murder at will, is what leads to the horrible treatment. The cruelty is a symptom of our view of other being as here to serve us, as having less right or no right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
.. who knows, maybe if you manage to hold on to a veggie breed, in a few generations you'll loose your canines, grow flat teeth, and develop a complete vegetarian digestive system :D ... and then i'd like to see you take a bite out of a burger :)) (oups! liver/kidney problems?)
Ok... now go out there and explain to mr. Lion that chasing and killing his antelope, buffalo or zebra meal is wrong =( he should go veggie!! ignore nature's laws!
Do not get me wrong, i'm not trying to troll here or something, but showing this to children, even young people over 18, can only cause trauma. Meat is ment to be consumed, veggies aswell, The only thing you people may accomplish is to lower meat prices for a while, raise them on the other side, and then all's gonna get back to step1
ok turn these people in to the police there are laws on the books that is meant to pervent this but if you are just going to let it happen then your more guilty of there suffering then i am because i eat there dead bodies see i benifit from there death but if the people who recorded this are Vegetarians they have no excuse
@drakonloki This is happening right now in ever state and province. This is standard practice, nothing in this video is illegal or even out of the ordinary. If you eat meat, eggs, or dairy products - you are supporting what you see here.
I agree that there are serious problems with the food chain. However, I would add that I know of ranches in my area that raise their cattle in large, wild mountain areas. I see hundreds if cows roaming virtually free in the hills near my town. I have covered hundreds of kilometers of trails and have seen many of them and they are very healthy and well cared for. Still I am reducing the meat in my diet because fruits, veggies and whole grains are much healthier then meat.
@ceytcheson What you don't see is the cows having their testicles removed without pain killers, being de-horned, being branded and burned/scarred for life, being separated from their families, being stuck in manure-filled feedlots for the second half of their lives, being poked and prodded into a truck and shipped for hours or days to a slaughterhouse, then finally being marched to their deaths while hearing their friends being butchered, knowing they are next.

@actionforanimals (pt 3) ...murder or the slaughter of livestock and murder. Please prove that assumption wrong. Let's discuss.
