I'm pretty sure it's a mix of a lot of different types of material, but there's molten plastic... or something made of petroleum... from the color it has and the type of texture... but I've seen some other artwork like this from other CD images, maybe from the back of inside and it seems there's metal and glass too.

It's a custom-built sculpture for the album cover. It's made out of chrome and glass. The glimpses of it you see in the album art are all anyone has seen. Fly-lo's kept the whole thing pretty under-wraps.
