Testing Swype for Android on Motorola Droid / Milestone

hey i need help please, i have motorola i1 but my jeyboard is tx9 and i dont knw how to change to swype, help please!!!

personally i find it hard as hell to type letters near the bottom right like n and m so it takes me 500 times to type nam (backspace then space) e before i just go N A M E click and drag name

@sleepyboyproduction I have Droid 1 and it came with raised keys. My father has the same Droid (got them at the same time) and his does not. I'm not sure why.

hey i love this phone but i've been hearin some rumors which i dont like, is it true you cannot install apps onto the sd card and only on the phone itself??????

@tubeman700 Yes and no.

You can install apps onto an SD card if you have Root access, but running apps off of an SD card crap out its lifespan.

The apps are almost all <2mb so it would take like 250 apps to actually use your space.

its not a matter of the app. its whether the phone is heat or touch sensitive. the droid being touch would not be nail friendly.

@sainiproductions No, almost all new smartphones have a capacitive touchscreen. This means that they are conductive and thus are not compatible with hard objects like a stylus or your fingernails.

Good video. Been using Swype since they leaked it., and I love it.

I find it interesting that you delete all of the text by selecting all the text then backspacing, as opposed to just tapping on "Cut All".

All the Droids i have seen (including mine) have REALLY flat keyboards. Is this a new build or is it because it's the GSM version? What do you think?

They are raised about half a millimeter.. you can easily feel the difference... I just wish they would be bigger..

It seems like a cool concept, but I wouldn't believe it's really usable when typing long messages.

Supposedly it is much faster than regular on screen keyboards. I haven't used it myself, but I would assume that I would still prefer a physical keyboard, but use swype when I don't feel like opening up the keyboard.

One thing I like about the droid keyboard is the flat-style surface which means I can do a similar thing; Slide my finger around without lifting off the surface
