  • People should not blame the troops in the field out west for these actions. Orders came down all the way from president Grant and the war department. You don't have much of a choice if you are a soldier. I mean look how Custer threatened Benteen for insubordination in this part.

  • Don't kid yourself about one thing; plenty of women, children and babies were killed that day too by the 7th Cavalry.

  • @jerico641

When that happen they went down on record as warriors killed.

  • Looks like they're some anti-Indian racists here. Fact is this land did not belong to whites. Even after Indian tribes signed treaties w/ US Govt, US broke nearly every treaty they signed. Indians fought for their survival & freedom. Whites fought to expend territory.

  • @AlternityGM ur so true get ready for ignorant fools argue with u

  • @AlternityGM Thus is the history of the world since Greek times. Even first nations fought and killed each other over territory before Columbus. hell the Aztecs would capture whole villages just to have people for their human sacrifices. The Crow had been driven off their land by the Sue 15 years before the little big horn which is why they where allied against them with the 7Th cavalry. The United States was going to happen coast to coast no matter what. Thus the world turns.

  • @uranorexic Why don't you educate yourself "you damn fool" on how to use a handgun & point it at your head & pull the trigger....obnoxious know-it-all.

  • @uranorexic I'm Sorry but did you say something? How would you know? Were you there? did you witness the raid?

  • @Paladin1441 Not to defend or support, but many archaeologists (including myself) often come to the same conclusion as "well, we will never REALLY know, because we weren't there..." it's called the post-modernist theory of interpreting history...instead of shooting fron the hip emotionally, you should check out this way of thinking...

  • They did the same thing at Sand Creek, And then Washita river,..God only knows where else it happened, but it was a tragedy Red Cloud was the only cheiftain who defeated the U.S Cavalry.

  • What happened at the village in this movie was way off (wrong) if Custer killed every one in the village that would be his last stand.he was surrounded after the attack but he got away by using the women and children as a human shield

  • (gold/silver) at all cost (at the expspense of the Native American people). Truth: Custer was a tool of the Government and his own ambitions. Truth: Crazy Horse and other Native warriors fought for life and freedom. when Crazy Horse's monument over looking the Black Hills is completed , I will be there before I'm gone from this world.

  • in this cheyenne village were some white captives, including small children that were shot in the head and beaten to death in a tree. There were also a large group of Dog Soldiers that was raiding in the region and killing ranchers and white travellers.

  • I hate reading the comments for this movie but I do it anyway. Yes what happed here was certainly wrong. What you don't see in the movie is that there were other larger hostile villages that Custer wanted to attack. However one his scouts convinced him to attack this village instead. Some of you bleeding heart viewers should try reading The Last Stand or the actual book Son of the Morning Star before ranting about how "terrible" the calvary soldiers were.

  • @illusiveman09 so your saying if these other villages were attacked it would be right. Hostile! wouldnt you be if you were being torn from your land. Fuck custer and fuck you.
