My favorite scene when this song was played...

This song is at the Sorceress Memorial when you go rescue Rinoa in Disc 3 (after getting back from space). Don't forget, SeeD took an "oath" (or "contract", if you will :P) to protect Rinoa "until Timber achieves its independance". Just handing her over to Esthar wasn't exactly a art of that contract, now was it? He had to go rescue her.

From that point forward, he took an oath to protect her, no matter what happens to her.

Totally agree with what everyone is saying. They did an amazing job developing the story and characters. Squall started out as a callous, cold hearted, lonewolf, with his guard constantly up all the time. Having his character develop the way it did was very refreshing.

Kicked her ass so hard.... but I couldn't beat Ultemicia, never got Lionheart throughought the whole game, only chance I can get it is like 0.02% drop rate, lol. So I started the game again, I don't know why I never get heart to finish it, but I'm pushing on. Grats on finishing it!

@Tutpower it's well easy if you stay a low level xD just refine items from GF cards and then refine them into magic and then junction (Sacred card-->100 Dino Bones-->100 Quakes for all!) and pimp Squall with 20/40/60% Strength and Counter, other characters as basically healing/buffs, sit back and watch heads roll. I absolutely love the battle system, it's the best in any FF game imo :D

The speech scene with this track is the moment that the "responsive, jerkish, cold, inhuman Squall" turned into the "hero" for me. He showed real character development in the scene and showed that while he acts cold, he actually does care for people and that he can be a hero.
