The way Michael Mann is able to create shootout scenes is by far some of the best in the world when it comes to the realism of it. From what I understand he uses real guns with blanks?
Finally a director with some visions of His own. I never Would Think that a director quite Like Michael Mann would Be as open Minded About His films as He Was in this interview.:)
Thanks for posting this. I find interesting what he said about the metaphor for Thief - the character Frank is like a "rat in a machine."
Some of the common underlying themes among certain of Mann's movies include characters metaphorically trying to escape the constraints of ordinary space and time; and the Holy Spirit moving at the beginning of creation. I'm not sure about Collateral because I didn't see it yet, I'm mainly talking about Thief and Manhunter, and The Keep to some extent.
collateral is a masterpice i think after het mann will never tpo his mouvies but with this one he top it this film is uch a masterpice is an work of art!!!!!!!!!.[think enibody will noutes.......?}
I love Michael Mann movies. He is very artistic and genuinely crafted with every movie he makes. Which makes him on my top ten list.:)

I love the way Michael Mann uses his visuals as a reflection on what
The movie is about. Collateral to me is about what
To do in the next
Steps of executing
The perfect goal.:)

I thought collateral was one hell of a good movie. Definitely underrated. Tom Cruise's character was bad ass.
