So, i am a Vietnamese, i "promise" (sorry to my bad english :"> ).
When i watch this clip, i wish that i can invite many of you (the foreigners) to eat PHO in Ha Noi with me.
I love you, and i love PHO, too, but PHO in Ha Noi may be better than PHO in this clip :P. So i present for u, a BEST Pho's Restaurant in HaNoi, it's "Phở Thìn" - "13. Lò Đúc Street, Hai Bà Trưng District". Sorry to my bad English a gain. I hope u can come to Vietnam and eat the genuine PHO in ha NOI ^^.
@plus2510 Haha, yes, the Pho in this clip could probably easily be outdone by an ethnic Vietnamese person :p. I hope my Ameri-Pseudo-Pho hasn't offended you lol! I love the stuff, so *next time I'm in Vietnam I'll have to try it out.
@gogpoydi You followed my recipe? Lol! This is gweilo pho. I really could have made it more authentic, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love the stuff :).
@m3gadork Hmm... I can only think of cow products for some reason :P. I was going to say "tendon", and then "omasum" (or tripe), but I realize those are both part of the cow lol. Some Viets use chicken, which of course isn't a vegetable either.
As far as veggies go, maybe you could deep fry some strips of tofu and then put good fish sauce (...if you can eat that) in the broth (non-MSG preferably). Pho really is a simple dish, and it was conceived by poor Viets using cow remnants, so good luck.
@m3gadork I just found out there's such a thing as "vegetarian tofu" (Google it); maybe modify the broth a little with fish sauce and I'm sure deep fried halibut, cod, or tilapia could work just as well as the tofu. Deep fried because it needs the sturdy texture to work well. I just made myself hungry actually...
thats a little lazy ..it still looks good but lazy lazy lazy

RedmanATI 1 year ago
@RedmanATI The Hoisin sauce? You can get it at a lot of large supermarkets and at all Asian food stores.
