@Deadeye1205 your still a puss using a compound bow. Big deal if you can do it with less then 15 pounds to continue to hold the string back. Longbow, you learn to line up, draw, aim and release in one smooth motion. Compound bows are for women and children.
@mrthomasfritz I own a recurve, and a longbow. I can shoot the longbow pretty well. I prefer the compound because it is more accurate, faster, and quieter. I am a hunter. I have nothing to prove, especially to a fag like you who has the nerve to say I'm a puss for shooting a compound bow- I'd love to see you group mine. It would be hilarious.
@teryx00 yes i do agree that longbow and recurves do make it more challenging but with a lot of practice you can be really acurate . I use a 65 lbs horsebow for deer hunting and i dont ever shoot at anything over 30 yards with it. Compound bows are alot more acurate , but i just dont like them that much , longbow are more of my style. Mabey i will do an acuracy video somtime soon.
@pennthebaker Why would we be jealous of a person shooting a machine. I've been shooting warbows and horsebows for almost 6 years, and my brother has been shooting for almost 11 years . what do you know about bows anyways? You dont seem to be a very nice person , get a life .
nice shot just dont understand the need for the wheels and 50' of cable i shoot trad only i just have to be a whole lot quieter than you mechanical giys
@thePavuk We dont understand why you people like compounds when they take the fun out of archery , while longbows are a challange and take REAL skill to shoot!
Also compounds have no history behind them. longbows are fun and are true bows, not some plastic machine!
i agree, longbows and recurves are fun to compete with BUT compounds are great and it also takes skill to use them as well..i wouldnt want to take the chance in wounding an animal with a recurve because thats what it would come down to 70% of the time so there for i will stick to my bowtech destoyer 350
@warbowgeeks look buddy i know exactly what you mean the best part of archery is using the hardest method and getting the best result i myself have a recurve and longbow but i know someone who shoots a compound and what these people are trying to say is that for most people a compound is more proficient. BUT let me tell you this I can hit targets further away and with more accuracy with my longbow then he can with his compound and the best part is that I'm 14 and started when i was 11
@warbowgeeks Will you comment all videos about compound bows on youtube with your personal shitty opinion? Modern bows are part of evolution. Bows doesn't end with 160lb yew longbow. This is sport, not Middle Ages war. Why even use bows, when we have automatic rifles? <-- see? Same logic. Now go, lick some bamboo and STFU.
@thePavuk Lol, I agree, but your exact point 'why use bows when we have guns', the point is that we want the same feel AS the medieval lads did. In the same way, in 1000 years, people might be using lasers from their helmets, but they'll use guns for sport, and some might use the same we use right now, to get that feel.
@thePavuk You know? I totally agree with you. Im a fan of medieval warfare, but this is sports. I think its an amazing shot, and it doesn't give damn what sort of bow he uses.
thats some funny shit, i almost feel like starting shooting my compound again, ( just a tip, if you whant more accuracy you should be thinking more about how you plant the string to you face, for example this video" archer shoots fob arrow at 100 yards" , thats a more "save" plant he has) / / swedish archer/shooter (lol)
@OkurkaBinLadin Well.. no.. archery is usually for people who don't have access to firearms, or people who already have or have used firearms and want to do archery for the novelty. Never in the history of everything has someone chosen bow and arrow over firearm initially, when given an equal choice.
@raginroadrunner Well.. other than for rediculous things like setting up a clothes line, anything that you would do with a bow and arrow you could do more effectively with a firearm. Again, unless it's something really rediculous/specific (thought up purely to help the archer's argument).. like to shoot rats in the basement without being allowed to make a lot of noise.
@IRCraziestTaxi Yes it is much more rewarding, but only because it is "dated".. kind of like if you were to use a rock in a cloth sling now-a-days, you would feel awesome hitting stuff because it's so dated. I didn't say archery is useless.. but with firearms in the mix archery's usefullness pretty much ends at stringing a clothes line, or quietly killing domestic pests where you can't have alot of noise. I'm not against archery.. I myself enjoy shooting a bow once and a while.
@Yumyumtuna "anything you would do with a bow & arrow you could do more effectively with a firearm..unless its something really rediculous/specific"
I wouldn't call 2 extra hunting seasons for deer alone & the ability to shoot in town either ridiculous nor specific.
Not to mention there is many more things more 'effective' you could be doing other than youtube comments, but that doesn't seem to be stopping you. (ie Its a hobby & entertainment, same as with firearms, in all applicable cases)
@festdir You're what, the 3rd or 4th person that's talked to me on this subject? It's done, stale, you like archery.. great. I like archery and firearms, great. I refferenced the quiet factor twice, miss that? 2 extra hunting seasons is terrific, yay! That's not what we're talking about.. you have a point with the 2 extra seasons, but one that doesn't belong in this conversation. By the way.. 2 extra hunting seasons for ONE area of ONE country IS pretty specific.. thought I'd point that out.
"2 extra hunting seasons for ONE area of ONE country"
Actually virtually the WHOLE area of 2 countries (the 2nd & 3rd largest countries in the world). So if by "specific" you meant "virtually the entire range of the animal encompassing over 7.5 MILLION sq miles", then I guess you are right. But thanks for 'pointing out', that you don't know the meaning of the word 'specific'.
@Yumyumtuna Lies. In the renaissance period, some people had to pay for their weapons/armour, and most couldn't afford the modern guns and ammo. Also guns didn't reload very efficiently.
@dragonangel6 Good point, but not valid here - I mentioned "when given an equal choice.", the vast difference in cost at that time puts them at uneven ground to compare.
@Yumyumtuna Well I beg to differ. Due to the vast effectiveness of these guns, that could cut through armour as good as an English Longbow, however still weighing little as well as actually being a little object to carry. I think a lot of people would've wanted them, maybe even if it were just for social ranking. In the same way, people can't afford phones etc, but they still want the best so they fit in.
@dragonangel6 All good points, again, but I still don't see that, even having considered all of the above, the two are on equal ground for comparison.
Like all hunters (if you do bowhunt) the far most important tool is knowing your kill zone, ie getting sighted in for a specific range. Taking a few shots to get to know your distance and azimuth and wind speeds etc helps so much when making a shot.
i aint a big fan of compound bows but this is truly impressive :O i wish i lived in an area similar to yours. couldnt fire a bow anywhere close to home without being arrested so practising psycho stuff like 160 yd shots isnt possible :(
@PersonWithAnAccount7 You are a dumbass.... Obviously you have never shot before if you think that bow is big on him. You might just want to give up the sport if you are going to talk smack about a shot like that. Get a clue!!!!

That was a great shot but maybe I can help a few questions and haters out below. @Satisfactionhbh A string sight is when theres a peep sight above your knock then you look threw the peep sight at the pin and point it at your sight.
It's technically not string walking since his release stays in the same position. It's called face walking because he is changing his anchor point without changing the release position. But your right, its nothing new to trad shooters.

It's technically not string walking since his release stays in the same position. It's called face walking because he is changing his anchor point without changing the release position. But your right, its nothing new to trad shooters.
