  • Mr. Drip and the #29 Bus on the Garboldisham road are both re-used on other sketches.

  • forgive me for not understanding the "your face, my ass" part, i'm not brittish...

anyone care to explain it to me?? :)

besides that, everything in this sketch is hilarious! :D

  • @04QuickSilver07 i am british and i didn't understand either, then again fry didn't seem to understand so mayby you weren't supposed to?

  • @04QuickSilver07 It was just random and nonsensical, you were expecting a standard reply, but he said that instead. It was meant to be a WTF moment.

  • he said the secret to contentment was not to ask any questions. meaning that you'd only be 'content' if you weren't e.g. curious about anything. we wouldn't develop if we were 'content'. it's not ironically depressing

  • Excellent ending

  • And that's where QI came from.

  • Love the no.29 bus down the Garboldisham Rd making another sketch appearance.

  • perfect sketch

  • I wonder if Wikileaks has managed to get hold of that "how to be happy" piece of information yet :D

  • @dosttemam That's very fuuny! :)

  • -can you tell me...

    -yees

    i love this part

  • My all-time favorite.

  • I always suspected that Stephen knows everything! This only confirms it. But does anyone know if "Drippy" (Colin Drip) really was Hugh's english master at the Dragon School? I know his headmaster was "Inky" (RK Ingram) because my dad was a student there at the same time Hugh was attending. They also had teachers called "Putty" and "Lofty".

  • Only one thing to be said: QI.

  • OMG does this mean that Stephen Fry was the original Google?!?!?!

    WIN!!!

  • I think it's really interesting that they both suffered from depressive disorders, but at the same time most that they've worked on together has been quite sweet and, if not uplifting, certainly the kind of thing to put one in a good mood.

  • 0:06 Stephen Fry and his "right"... Legendary.

    Beautiful end...

  • Oh and I forgot to add... Stephen's gorgeous here!

  • Laurie: He used to drive Drippy up the wall! Do you know what he used to do?

    Fry: Yes...

  • Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry are brilliant!

  • the end of the sketch is quite philosophical, isn't it?

    (sorry for my english)

  • @1simran2 no

  • sorry, I don't want to sound stupid, but I don't see absolutely anyway, how this could be about religion.

P.S. Amazing sketch! Fry&Laurie are the best!

  • "well, what sorts have you got?'

  • stephen suffers from mild bipolar disorder

  • I love a bit of fry and laurie :D stephen and hugh are the kings of comedians!

this was a great sketch, totally funny!

that being said though did anyone else find hugh laurie's question a bit depressing? (funny though it was was...)

'"can you tell me how to be happy?" "i'm afraid that information is restricted."'

funny yet rather ironically depressing... only fry and laurie...

  • There was an eerie silence too.

    It was quite moving.

Felt sorry for Hugh's character just then :(

  • @kawaiichico

It's even more sad considering Hugh Laurie was depressed for a long time.

    JAN3

  • I absolutely love Hugh's Character. It reminds me of a child... the way he stands and how he just asks and asks

How come Fry's so good ??

  • it's like a lemonade stand!

  • Hehe.

    There's a random bush behind him =P

  • it looks like an anticipation to jeeves and wooster!

  • These guys are some of the funniest comedians ever.

  • Not just a clever sketch, but the punchline is very true! :)

  • great video!! those two are hilarious... :)

  • "What information would you like?"

"Well what sorts have you got?"

    <33 These two are LOVE.

    Ahaha.

  • then don't watch it.

  • stephen really does know everything..

  • "I never knew that."

    "Never knew what?"

"That rabbits had an average weight."

    Awesome.

  • this is really neat. knowing about hugh's depression it's interesting to hear him ask out loud how to be happy. great sketch.

  • I think it was actually stephen fry who suffered from depression.

  • They both did.

  • Stephen is the manac depressent

  • I believe he suffered from "manic depression" :)

  • yeah and i'm suffering from dyslexia :)

  • Stephen is manically depressed, Hugh Laurie is clinically depressed.

  • Oh, a philosophical one. Like it!

  • your face my ass lol

  • It's restricted! That's why...!

    Great video. Thanks!

  • I remember reading this one a while back.. Needless to say, much funnier to watch than envision. It looked like Steven caught Hugh off-guard when the latter asked 'Contented?' and the former replied 'Yes.' But that could just be me.. XD Great video though.
