There's another instrument called plasmaphone, and yes, sometimes we do play in all four states, for example, we did a concert at the Music Gallery in Toronto with cello (solid), hydraulophone (liquid), pipe organ (gas), plasmaphone (plasma), and brainwave EEG electrode interface to synth (idea), to embody the five Classic Elements:
Yes, we really need a reedless aerophone like maybe a tin whistle (tin flute). At least the hydraulophone is reedless (your concern regarding the hydraulophone has also been raised with regard to hydraulophones that have reeds, so there's some nice philosophical purity in reedless instruments for water as well as for air).
Actually, the clarinet produces sound from both liquid and solid states, since it uses a vibrating reed (solid) moved by air (gas). A better "gas" instrument is a flute, which uses a vibrating air column to produce the sound. Still, a very nice musical interlude!
put a shirt on. just kidding, nice job. but seriously put a shirt on.

Not sure what kind of swimsuit has a shirt-part; maybe an old 1932 Janzen "Topper" suit or earlier, or a fast-dry lycra shirt???
Could always wear a neoprene dive suite that covers the upper body, although not cold enough to really need it...
