The ending where Donnie dies is the Asian version ending. Why? Well, in Asia, Sammo Hung is a well praised icon in the movie industry. So the audience prefer the character he plays not to die with how prestigious Sammo is. The ending where he DOES die is the one directed to international audiences. Vice versa, none the less this was a well-done fight. Wushu ftw! XD

By the moving it wasn't totally unexpected..

Most movies aren't..It is so easy to spot things..Especially when people try and spring them on you in movies..Donnie dying was a disappoint and ruined the movie..The only reason why I've even watched it more than once is purely the fact that i love Donnie and all of his fights.
