Need to use a tripod and a camera... must have a long exposure on the camera.. the longer it is the more bright the picture will be so you won't need to use a flash at all. I haven't exactly sussed out how other people are doing the video ones. now that'd be cool. but it's great fun doing these with the kids especially on a beach somewhere.
@buttonNZ the video ones are done picture by picture...then added to a video editing software...they decrease the time of how long the picture stays on the screen for...giving it an animated effect ;)
Hi there. This was a quick whip together with Picasa which is a free download. It's a program that stores and displays your pictures. Just google Picasa and it'll come up. Hope this helps and thanks for the comments.

try using the flash too, you get the kids in perfect focus AND you can still draw
