The drawing screen has menu buttons to get a photo background as well as load an image as a background from the sdcard. You can draw and add text over the top, then save & publish.
That's pretty good. It's nice to see Augmented Reality apps like this are progressing, slowly but surely. And just imagine how much more accurate these things can get in the near future, as long as people keep developing them.
I bet if this was merged with a basic image recognition feature, maybe based on a photo taken when you first place the object, it could depend less on the compass, in order to keep the images more still and locked in place with the real world. Compass isn't accurate.
Agreed compass is not very accurate (yet), and moves around a bit, but its much better than GPS at very close proximity - which has you/drawings jumping all over the place. There is more to come for sure.
That's really cool. Does it support photos too or just images?
