I really don't like that this song is kinda supporting Amy's POV, where she's in love with the Doctor. I mean honestly, we see later on, she eventually loves Rory a lot more, but there's always that little tidge of she loves the Doctor. But I can't stop listening to this song anyhow, because I am in love with her voice.

@AudaciousInrush She does say that it's her fairy tale, so I think that kind of implies that she's being irrational here. Her "love" for the Doctor is pretty much just a childhood infatuation. And of course the Doctor isn't even talking about feelings and seems to be rather clueless about what she's saying until 2:17. I didn't really like that the song seemed to be Amy/Eleven until I listened closer to the lyrics and realized that it's actually not. I'm Amy/Rory all the way, too!

I love Doctor Who's whole situation between Amy, Rory, and the Doctor, because it sort of describes something: no one isn't important. Amy loved the Doctor because he was amazing and he was, well, "important." He can warp space and time to his needs. But then there's Rory. Rory was meant for Amy. He waited 2,000 years for her. It sort of has a message that you wouldn't get otherwise; nobody is small in the Universe.

I don't really like Amy because she's just...she's made for Rory. She shouldn't be treating the Doctor better than her own husband.

That's why I like the song Mr. Pond because...Rory is speaking out about how Amy seems to favor him more, and he'll do anything to change that.

But Amy just needs to get over the Doctor and stop treating him like he's some long lost love. They are meant to have a best friend/brother-sister relationship. Which is how the Doctor see's it.

but that's just my opinion.

@hippocrit123 Amy isn't falling for The Doctor at all. The only two flirting moments I can think of were the season finale and after the Weeping Angles episode. And she was out of character both times. The angles one she had been scared to death, she didn't know how to behave.

And the series finale she was joking.

Series 6 has been proof of her love for Rory. Often praying for him to save her and not The Doctor.

@hippocrit123 The more you see of Amy the more clear it is how much she loves Rory and how they're made for each other but she grew up dreaming about the Doctor and he's been such a massive influence on her life. They clearly have a much more playful relationship whereas Rory is not as much of a joker as the Doc but you still see how much he means to her and she will always choose him over the Doctor.
