The father never molested the son, which is why the dad was crying the night of his sons prom; mom eventually questioned the son, "when did it start". The dad allowed it out of fear, he was terrorized, look at his facial expressions before and after. The son was angered when he read the book because the dad revealed his sons abusive behavior. The dad was the victim, he was passive and shouldn't have been but still... this is the world we live in, well written and directed, period.

Wow... A disturbing movie, but non the less it was done very well. I think the acting, writing, directing and casting was spot on. You did a great job. Some things just makes one uncomfortable, and this one made me unconfortable, so did the movie Precious (and we know the end of that story). Good luck with your film and your future. Wow! This is a different take on molestation. The molester became the molested! Very twisted but great art and storytelling. The goal of writers and directors, in my opinion, is to evoke some sort of emotion and conversation and this definitely does that. No matter how uncomfortable and uneasy it makes us feel.

What a great analogy of molestation in America. TSTAJ cleverly flipped the script on the taboo subject - making the father the victim to his son. I appreciate how the father possessed all the telltale characteristics victims exhibit, yet goes unnoticed - even from his doting wife. The fear and broken spirit he exudes creates a visually stark contrast to his earlier self. The son's twisted nature was jarring but hams up the obsessive molesters possess. Glad I saw it, a great film short!
