  • Shot on Bungan Beach, a beach north of Sydney that even today remains relatively isolated. It is hidden from the main road and accessible only by a walking track.

  • A beautiful video!

Somebody know which piece of musi is this?

    :)

    Greetings!

  • @Marlestor

The music is by Alexander Balanescu played by The Balanescu Quartet. It isn't yet recorded commercially. We hope soon.

  • Wonderful footage!

  • one word, Fascinating.

  • so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lots of fascinating history here, and plenty of beauty also.

  • After enlarging the video and stopping the film, my brother and I determined that my father is actually the man doing the swinging and is in the solid color trunks lifting the ballerina, his faced obscured. Yes, the pure joy of this movement is just breathtaking. And makes me miss my father, who died in 1982, all the more.

  • @KimKo57 very interesting and very moving too must have been a great surprise for you find dad on this clip.what was his name ?he looks as a very strong gifded dancer and an handsome man ,all best

  • beautiful.

God bless you for the upload. this is how ballet is supposed to be. that is exactly what each and everyone of us should be doing on the beach.

  • OH MY GOD One of these dancers is MY FATHER Kazimir Kokich! I am SO happy to see this! He is the one holding on being swung around!

  • @KimKo57 really?

  • @KimKo57 now saw also name .

  • Absolutely wonderful to see those lost clips of dancers that became part of the legend in those private moments. They were really very special people, a bygone with a constellation of great stars. I do appreciate that you took the time to share it with us in YT. Thank you so much!

  • Lovely video. I remember Tamara Toumanova in 1950s Hollywood musicals. She often played the vixen, unsympathetic prima donna in the theatre setting. Often unpopular. Her facial bone structure suited such roles. Her last big roles were Hitchcock's Torn Curtain with Paul Newman and of course as the ballerina in a film about Sherlock Holmes. In both very much the very neurotic, very Russian ballerina. Magnificent!

  • so great, we can show to dance students how dancers of Ballet Russe realy danced

  • the dark haired woman in the green black and yellow suit is Tamara Toumanova-easily recognizable!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Absolutely beautiful! I love seeing dancers in casual settings or seeing what goes on when the curtain goes down. Could you please identify the dancers?

  • Where did you get this gorgeous footage? It's lovely.

  • beautiful
