  • Wonderful!

  • ive now been reborn again!

  • Prayer is a struggle for me but this is very good to help me pray. Also very beautiful and solemn. Thank you.

  • Very Beautiful... Praise Father..Merciful blessings you have given, continue to hold me up and lighten my path and magnify my loving minutes and moments for his heart is golden and i love him, guide his love back to me.. Amen

  • I wish my Catholic Church sang this every Sunday!!! I wish we had much more traditional music!

  • a nice chant by the Benedictine Abbey of Saint Maurice Clervaux - Luxembourg(of the Solesmes Congregation), i have the original vinyl and remastered cd.original recording 1959, re-mastered cd released 1998.

  • Merciful Lord, thank you for lifting me up and showing me... Amen

  • God thank you for lifting me up, for seeing deception and the acts of deception. You have shown me merciful light in my heart. Make me a better woman, a better understanding friend to the one I love. Help me understand the reason for my past hurtful months. I thank you Heavenly Father for Loving me. Amen

  • @Xiaolian7 I did not know of concentration camps. The end is exactly what you described, revelations. Peace and thank you, for your knowledge.

  • Merciful loving God, dwell in my heart forever. Please bring my love back to me in glory. Amen

  • Glory to you, God of Hosts. May You be adored, worshiped and glorified in all the tabernacles of the world until the end of time. Thank you for holding me by the hand for an entire lifetime of trials and sorrow. I praise and glorify You and will do so with my last breath.

  • "Atheism is the very height of intellectual stupidity" -- Ven. Solonus Casey

  • I'm an atheist - I just like good classical music.

  • Praise Jesus!

  • thank you, amen

  • this chant always reminds me that we have only one God...

  • TE DEUM LAUDAMUS! It just makes my soul sing unto God for the beauty of his Church and his awesome majesty in the beauty of nature! I think the priests who have pushed this out of the liturgy should be tried by inquisition....this is an absolute wonderful prayer that drives hell mad when it's sung!

  • Thank You for sharing and God Bless.

  • This is so pretty, thank you for posting this, much love and respect, Amen.

  • the Te Deum was also said at the office of Matins on feasts of saints no matter their rank...the community I was with recited it while the tower bell was rung...we use to knell and kiss the the pew where we sat at Redeemed His Precious Blood. as to Vatican 11 wow big deal and what are fruits of this council? yes a question mark lack of faith and the religious communities and seminary's empty.

  • This just can't be described in words.

  • @jmkeller 'Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must remain silent'.

Ludwig Wittgenstein: Tractatus-Logico Philosophicus, Proposition 7.

  • Praise the LORD JESUS Christ

  • This is what angels sing in heaven. :)

  • Four voters are bigots. There is no other possibility.

  • @8088675309 You are a bigot. There is no other possibility.

    Sigh......

  • Let us remember that Vatican II, while encouraging the composing of new hymns worthy of the name, also exhorted to remember the place of honor owed to Gregorian chant. Most unfortunately, too many churches have forgotten this. At times it is easier to hear some Gregorian chant in a Presbyterian church than a Catholic one! Ironic, to say the least. If we are truly Catholic/Universal, the history and culture of 1,980 years cannot be dumped without failing to recognize who we are.

  • Chant is designed to lift the soul up to heaven (in prayer).

  • And we settle for guitar music at Mass.

  • @catholicpriest1 I know right? I'd love to hear this everyday at mass!

  • @catholicpriest1 The sprit of the times. All of this was to much for the layity to understand. Blah blah blha the latin , the music. Next year 50 yrs since vatican 2

  • very beautiful !

  • The bells and chanting just seem to calm everything away. Bless the monks.

  • Gloria patri et filio et spiritui sancto...

  • im an atheist, but my, this is beautiful

  • @pii66 - May you receive the gift of faith in God. Will pray for you to join us in worshipping Him for all eternity. God bless pi66.

  • @pii66 It's beautiful, because it's a prayer. The soul desires to pray always.

  • Is THIS particular recording available?

Thanks for putting this on YouTube; it is appropriate that we are listening to it on Christmas Day. God bless!

  • Hermosisimo, no cabe duda que los monasterios son el corazón de la Iglesia!! ñ_ñ

  • To me, this is the most beautiful of all Gregorian chants, and this version seems especially sacred. I first heard this over 40 years ago.

  • Thanks for posting. This is wonderful. :-)

  • The devil is the only one that dislikes this video.

  • I don't like dead religion, but I love this old chant. It has an awe and majesty which are sometimes lost on modern believers. God may be our friend, but is He IS the Ancient of Days, King of the universe, a consuming fire. Don't take Him lightly

  • Awesome & Enchanting

  • The Gods of the most beautiful prayer.Hear and feel the power.

  • I have found this CD on ITunes. It is my favorite version. I had the record when I was a kid. I fell in love with Latin at a young age.

  • This is the Hymn which the Spanish priest and helpers song for the Sto. Nino of Batangas back during the 1600 years foundation of Batangas.

  • Sublime beauty - but why compromise this with organ accompaniment!!

  • I am not a Catholic nor a Christian believer, but such beauty moves the heart and reminds us that this fallen world is not our home. We are mere travelers here, searching, for what we do not know, until we are moved by such beauty, and are reminded of our home beyond the stars.

  • My favorite chant.

  • Awesome. thank you.

  • It is kind of difficult to see the words against the backround. Thank you for posting - I found rest in this today. Tough day ahead of me. j

  • This is such a beautiful TeDeum! Used to listen to it on a recording I had in the early 1980s.

  • so, what CD is this particular track on? i love the Te Deum, I wish it was sung in my Ordinary Form parish...but i think the seminary i am in is starting to consider chanting the english version.

  • the english version? God forbid. This is the only version of the Holy Church.

  • i agree, the English version is edited significantly, and the Latin translation of it is aswell, so there are actually two latin versions...

  • we are al wicked, if you mean DAD and MOM as in the Eternal Father and Mary, you need Jesus, He is an integral part of this...

  • Faith is a gift, my friend. "Knock and it shall be opened to you."

  • I did, this prayer is from my soul. However themes such as dwelling in the dust and not being put to shame are OT in origin. . It seems to me just as the lover becomes like the beloved that our hearts become like God's as we move from Faith to faith. I suppose that is the transforming power of grace. I need a lot more grace. Pray for me.

  • Many of the saints, such as Augustine and Aquinas, composed prayers that were OT in origin, such as, "Our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee..." Grace is indeed transforming and we all need alot of it. I will indeed pray for you and ask the same of you for me:-)

  • I meant to say that the beloved (us) become more like the lover(God). Thank you for your prayers Iam certain that many times in my life I've been spared because of prayers and often wonder how many prayers of my mother have long been heard and answered not to mention ancestors who prayed for the generations to come. It is humbling.

  • Te Deum laudamus, Te Dominum comfitemur...

    in aeternam

  • I know it sounds weird, but pray! If you pray with your heart and soul you will resive his grace and His love. By accepting him into your life and say I belive in God maker of heaven and earth and Jesus his only begotten son! If you feel that you need help in beliving, ask and you shall resive! If you ask The Father for help in Jesus name, and soon you will see the diffrence! i did once and I got an answer!

  • Faith is supposed to be used to transform the vehicle from darkness into light. Dark cannot augment light, but light can.

  • to Velvet1942: Pray to God for faith, and He will give it to you! Receive the sacraments worthily and God will bring you to heaven.

  • Thank you for posting a very good prayer

    Praise the LORD JESUS Christ

  • Be mericful O God to me a sinner of Thy only Son's redeeming. Let me not be put to shame or let my soul dwell forever in the dust.

With my whole being I cry out to Thee O triune God lift me up and bring me to your kingdom and let me praise you in the courts of heaven.

  • @mansfield1721 thank you for your prayer.

  • @mansfield1721

Did you write this, or did you find it? I'm very curious of the origin of this.

  • the beauty of Gregorian chant reflects

the beauty of God! Thanks! Mary

  • Beautiful!
