  • its interesting seeing U2 like this. Just four of them playing instruments, no massive stage show or anything like that. Just like a normal band. They still sound awesome tho

  • 14 years ago! oh oh, i'm getting old!

  • I love Bono's guitar playing, as it's along the same style of mine, shall we say, 'limited'. Great performance/song/band.

  • @JiffySpook Three chords, and the truth!

  • pop was the best u2 album....very underated tunes.

  • This shows how damaged his voice was during this period. It wasnt like this all the time but it was pretty bad some shows.

  • What I find very strange about Bonos voice is that during the POP era he was able to hold the melody in his voice for a longer period of time but he could not really scream out singing like previous years... then comes Sweetest Thing.. still has the sorta POPera vocals.. then All that you cant leave behind comes out ... and all of a sudden.. hes able to scream out singing again but hes not able to hold melody or do "girly voice" as much like POP. Has anyone else noticed this?

  • During the POP period he had problems with his voice for what i know. He really couldn't quite sing as he did. This is especially visible during the first half of the POPMart tour. His voice was really weak... Well... He's Bono Vox, so... You know?... :D Whatever... :D:D:D

  • Yeah, I know he had problems with his voice but what I was trying to explain is that during each album his voice changed. Sometimes a little, sometimes more.

  • @exc1t3r His voice was very bad because of the smoking and he was allergic to some kind of plant in the dessert where he used to run everyday XD

  • This was definitely the best U2 period for me, after the "Achtung Baby" times. I think that U2 were really at they`re best in the 90`s. For me, "POP" is their most underestimated albums... Even one of the most underestimated albums of that decade really. It was just so good, nobody quite got what it was about... At least "mainstream" fans i guess, in a way didn`t quite get what they were about. Howie B said: "I know they wanted to make a FuckYou! album". And i think they did something much more.

  • @exc1t3r i agree with you.

  • @exc1t3r completely agree with you...my favourite U2 album; cause it has excellent lyrics, creativity in songs like this one, Mofo, angels, staring at the sun, even Miami. Miami in the album sounds strange, but live was amazing!!! And Do you feel loved...what an excellent dancing song...and the entire album puts thinking about what´s going on in the world, in life, in everything basically. And these songs would make on the 360 stage...

  • I just think that his attitude at the time of looking "forced into the spotlight" was the greatest. Reminds me in a way of Ed Vedder but more mature and sort of Fuckyou-esque... :D D'you know what i mean?

  • Three f'ing brilliant artists... and the Amadeus of our time-- not content to just compose the greatest chords & melodies in everyone's lifetimes... no, Edge goes out every single show and delivers everything he's got. God bless his longevity and creativity. The guy is a stud! He said their last CD was their most complete work ever... i'm loving life, knowing their trying to top themselves all over again. Awesome work ethic. Awesome imagination. Awesome muscianship.

  • @jws63 So who of the 4 isn't briliant? :P

  • oh my god.....

  • God Bless all the people who are supporting the Tibetan cause and the Human rights around the globe.
