I just read the article titled Councilman denies new district maps are payback (L.A. Times, 02-17-12). In most any U.S. History class students are taught that when government goes awry you have the right to petition your elected official for redress.

In the "inner-city" should a law abiding U.S. born descendant of slavery petition his or her elected official, you will be arrested & jailed by police as a result of a citizen's arrest being placed against you by Democratic Party affiliated Los Angeles City Councilman Herb Wesson's office.
