  • aww this is cool vid Windows XP Loading screen on old 70's TV

  • hahahaha TV changing resolution xDDDDDDDDDD

  • what is desktop resolution

  • LOL ON THE START-UP SOUND IS FUNNY!

  • I am learning to mod out computer cases and I want to find a means of intergrating my small battery powered Tv's CRT screen directly from the computer for a Nastalgic computer case (steam punk design).

Contrary to what one person said, and from your Tv - it looks like the resolution is plenty sharp enough to use for such a purpose. Do you have any idea HOW to do this? It would ideally be part of the case - like the Tv sets back in the late 40s & early 50's. A tutorial would be cool!

  • Perfect for Crysis

  • Windows got some Accessibility features, such as bigger pointer, high contrast color scheme. Turn them on. Visit accessible website.

  • How do you get the television to display such high resolution? Whenever I try it everything is all pixilated and distorted.

  • whats the resolution xD 160x120 lol

  • thats an awesome monitor

  • i like when it shut down and the snow came up, hah!

  • at what freq. does that screen run? i can't stand anything below 75Hz, my eyes start to "cry"(tears coming out). I always have my (CRT) monitors set up to at least 100Hz. I can't understand how some people have their monitors set up to run at 60Hz.

  • usually 85 is minimum , 60 hz is used on NTSC televisions sets , 100 hz damages the tube , i cannot notice difference between 85 and 100 hz. 60 hz on an lcd is not noticeable because it has a longer response time than a phosphorous cell.

  • @pyromohanzed ummm...i'm not shure that 100 hz damages the tube. our old TV, that we still use in the basement runs at 100Hz and you cannot change that. But i actually use 85Mhz more often beacouse i usally run a very high resolution(1920x1440)

  • well , thats a good idea , 85 Hz is usually not as bad as 60 , but i think TV displays are diff. from computer monitors so the refresh=>damage criterion maybe doesn't apply ?? 0_0 ;; what sort of TV is it? might be able to use that as ur computer mon. using S-video.

  • let's play crysis. lol

  • what was happening at 1:58?

  • changing resolutions maybe?

  • That is not a good idea, since the TVs has a lot fewer lines and pixels than a computer monitor. The picture will be very blurry, and it will be impossible to read text, etc.

  • unless you use 640x480

    perfect for windows 95/98

  • wow, my win 98 computer has a 500 mhz processer did you geet some type of video card to play this on that tv?

  • Since this was 2 years ago and I don't have the computer any more, I can not answer really sure, but I remember that in my computer, there was a PSI-card with a S-Video-output, and I uset it to connect the computer to my VHS-player, and it has a coaxial cable output, so I connecdet it to the TV. The TV does only have a coaxial input.

  • @windoes98se I had two systems(i had one Gigabyte video card,AGP,very cool)that could be hooked up to TV (i did that twice, first with a Pentium 133 then with a Celeron)via Composite out.Sadly both died, the P133 would not show BIOS,(that was same with the Celeron)and the Celeron died instantly. It sparkled a little when tried to turn on (i didn't had a Power on button).Funny was that the TV was PAL,and video card NTSC,resultin in a B/W image on both PCs. :D

  • This is FUCKING COOL

I'll go beg my dad to help me find the old tv in the garage now.....

  • i have donethe same befori saw this video

  • wow

  • wow dude this video buffers alot stop putting them on such high quality and u wont have tht prob + it will be quicker 2 upload seriously

  • I know, But I had just bought my new camcorder, and I liked to enjoy the quality, lol xD

  • @themacintoshguy its only coming up as 360p for me with no option of higher quality than that?

  • Hey, it's not a big deal if you got a good connection

  • i also like to look at things in high quality , makes it more natural and like analog rather than digital ;;

  • That is ghetto!

  • That's a really clear picture.

  • wow thats awesome! What resolution can you get? lol. Also what are the specs of that powermac g4? Cool video.

  • the G4 had a 110 gb hard drive, 512 meg ram and a 500 mghz processor. I don't have it anymore, I've got a iMac =)

  • tv resolution is always about 500x... pixles

  • Nice. fixed freq?

  • systemexperience29: I live in sweden, I don't care about how many channels that shit can give me. I am totally fine whith what I have, so gtfo

  • very interesting, i am trying to do the same old screen effect on photoshop...

  • Oj va coolt!

  • wow look at the quality!!! lol

  • Wow, this is amazing, didnt think a CRT TV from 1970 would be able to do this, I think this just proves that CRTs have superior technology in them, nice work, it was great to see this video, thanks for uploading it :)

P.S. Only 5", wow, I remember when we had a tiny TV with an aerial on it, I think it was about the same size, brilliant stuff, the tv was black and white also but I think it was newer than 1970 :D

  • acully, the tube is just 4". I wrote wrong, my mistake :P

  • i got full HD widescreen 1920x1080 on my 17" CRT "scott" monitor from 2001. no joke, was originally used with a windows 98 pentium 2 desktop machine!

  • @ThisIs2009 how did u do that?
