I am learning to mod out computer cases and I want to find a means of intergrating my small battery powered Tv's CRT screen directly from the computer for a Nastalgic computer case (steam punk design).
Contrary to what one person said, and from your Tv - it looks like the resolution is plenty sharp enough to use for such a purpose. Do you have any idea HOW to do this? It would ideally be part of the case - like the Tv sets back in the late 40s & early 50's. A tutorial would be cool!
at what freq. does that screen run? i can't stand anything below 75Hz, my eyes start to "cry"(tears coming out). I always have my (CRT) monitors set up to at least 100Hz. I can't understand how some people have their monitors set up to run at 60Hz.
usually 85 is minimum , 60 hz is used on NTSC televisions sets , 100 hz damages the tube , i cannot notice difference between 85 and 100 hz. 60 hz on an lcd is not noticeable because it has a longer response time than a phosphorous cell.
@pyromohanzed ummm...i'm not shure that 100 hz damages the tube. our old TV, that we still use in the basement runs at 100Hz and you cannot change that. But i actually use 85Mhz more often beacouse i usally run a very high resolution(1920x1440)
well , thats a good idea , 85 Hz is usually not as bad as 60 , but i think TV displays are diff. from computer monitors so the refresh=>damage criterion maybe doesn't apply ?? 0_0 ;; what sort of TV is it? might be able to use that as ur computer mon. using S-video.
That is not a good idea, since the TVs has a lot fewer lines and pixels than a computer monitor. The picture will be very blurry, and it will be impossible to read text, etc.
Since this was 2 years ago and I don't have the computer any more, I can not answer really sure, but I remember that in my computer, there was a PSI-card with a S-Video-output, and I uset it to connect the computer to my VHS-player, and it has a coaxial cable output, so I connecdet it to the TV. The TV does only have a coaxial input.
@windoes98se I had two systems(i had one Gigabyte video card,AGP,very cool)that could be hooked up to TV (i did that twice, first with a Pentium 133 then with a Celeron)via Composite out.Sadly both died, the P133 would not show BIOS,(that was same with the Celeron)and the Celeron died instantly. It sparkled a little when tried to turn on (i didn't had a Power on button).Funny was that the TV was PAL,and video card NTSC,resultin in a B/W image on both PCs. :D

Wow, this is amazing, didnt think a CRT TV from 1970 would be able to do this, I think this just proves that CRTs have superior technology in them, nice work, it was great to see this video, thanks for uploading it :)
P.S. Only 5", wow, I remember when we had a tiny TV with an aerial on it, I think it was about the same size, brilliant stuff, the tv was black and white also but I think it was newer than 1970 :D

Windows got some Accessibility features, such as bigger pointer, high contrast color scheme. Turn them on. Visit accessible website.

How do you get the television to display such high resolution? Whenever I try it everything is all pixilated and distorted.
