  • If this car puts out that many horses ? How you not burnning rich? Not doubting.. just curious. My 3000 put out 450 at the wheels and spit flames like crazy.. u running cats?

  • isn't it possible to make this under the bonnet to make it less see able for cops

  • I'm an aviation electrician and I say no!

  • haha DA FUK!!!!

    a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

  • i wanna get a gs300 98 i hope it has no VVTI im not sure i wanna do a 2jz swap with hks 2835 twin turbos =) and a hks super sqv race spec bov =D i know what i got to mod and this is my first car, its going to be semi race but mostly vip and looks

  • this has to be one of the worst positions for a cut out

    no real benifit

fumes will just goo straight back and little will actually go out of the cut out

  • That's awesome!

  • weak

  • def. weak.

  • if only you clowns knew that this car is putting down about 600rwhp on E85....if only you knew.

  • i didnt ask about that.... im saying the cutout was a waste.. it sounds like shit.... better off with a carbon muffler.... im not at all disputing the amount of hp the car has...too bad this is on a shitty lexus.. and dont tell me its not shitty... my bud owns a mecedes/lexus repair shop... only older mercedes were weorth ever buying... im sorry ... buy a subaru next time.

  • yeah. a shitty lexus. The vehicle with the best resale value, best reliability, and especially one built with the same motor as the Toyota supra, which is still one of the most modified cars in history. I will say the older mercedes (talking 90 and earlier) are very reliable as well, but their quality has gone to the shit as of late. And subarus, please. Outside of the STi a subaru is a horrible waste of money. Carbon muffler? What do you think this is, the fast and the furious? Quit hating.

  • no but it would sound better than that cutout or a crappy cherrybomb..plus carbos is a good resonant and very durable..therefore much better sounding than a gay cutout on a v6 engine...as for you saying a lexus is good.. no im sorry im going to disagree on that...id rather buy a mecedes than any lexus..their track record for being reliable is horrible and are a big waste of money..dont get me wrong..most companies are circling the drain right now..but lexus was not the way to go sorry.

  • look at any reliability reports, edmunds, consumer reports, whichever you want. From 98 on (the time period this car was built), mercedes reliability DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE to lexus'. Secondly, it's an I6, not a V6, so youre twice a retard. Besides the fact that you're talking about most companies circling the drain NOW (2008-9) when this car was built 3 years ago, and even now Toyota (lexus) is doing better than any other car company. Your argument has no leg to stand on.

  • youve got to be shitting me if you think a lexus out performs a mercedes on reliability..... and your the tard because i said it was a v6 from the fact that you have one 2.5" pipe 99% of v-8s use 2 to one 2.5 inch pipes to go from the manifold over.... i dont seee anything saying l6... theres no use arguing with an idiot... learn your shit before you talk.. just because your car has a turbo and a cutout means nothing...

  • learn my shit huh. Because owning a GS300 myself means i wouldnt know that ALL 2JZ MOTORS ARE INLINE 6'S, YOU FUCKING RETARD. Like i said, look up any automotive reporting site. Lexus is number 1 in reliability for a long time now. Ever since around 1998 mercedes quality and reliability has hit the absolute shit. Lexus is the most reliable, best built car with the best resale value of any vehicle on the road. You're the idiot guy. YOU do the research.

  • like i said no use in arguing with an idiot.

  • i'd love to know how i'm the idiot. Yes, we're arguing but you're arguing with someone who OWNS the same car, and has done the research before I got that car. I've provided examples of lexus' reliability, you dont have a damn thing to back your statements.

  • It doesn't matter, yo. It's a huge, overweight four door luxury car. The damn thing has got to weigh a ton and a half, so that 2JZ-GTE needs 600rwhp to move 5 meters, lol. And people be baggin on Americans for making huge cars.

  • actually it does matter because that 600rwhp will run 11 change in the quarter mile at it's near 4000lb curb weight and still get almost 20mpg on the road. Let's see an american pig do that, yo.

  • Show me a time slip then, punk. Also, I'm working on a 734rwhp Chevrolet Camaro, which will get around 18-23 mpg, is a V6, will be getting two turbos meant for an Evo MR. This Camaro is an 1987 with the 5-speed in it already and the parts available for it are insanely out of Lexus's reach.

  • HAHA. I'm the punk and you have no idea what you're talking about. He's got a video of him running an 11 something spinning out of the hole. Obviously there's more parts for your mullet-mobile, that's what makes a fast lexus more unique than your piece of trash. There's also no way you're getting 18-23mpg out of a 734hp, 22 year old 2.8l v6. Have fun when that hunk of shit blows up.

  • You're calling a Camaro a mullet-mobile? Man, you have a lot to learn of the car, truck, and semi-rig world, buddy. Learn your shit, repost something a little more intelligent. This motor is going to be brand new, yes it will be putting out that power, it will be intercooled, it will no longer be 2.8 liters but it will be bored out .70 over. If you think I don't know what I'm doing then you're an idiot. I've seen it done for under 19,000 bucks, running solid 10.5's to 10.65's.

  • haha, well at least you're now acknowledging that you were wrong about the lexus. Now, how do you justify 10.5-10.65 with 734hp in a much lighter car? That GS ran 11 something, at almost 4000lbs, with 600odd hp. Your camaro weighs just over a half ton less than that, with 100+ more hp. Doesn't add up. Not trying to say you're a liar but the numbers dont make sense.

  • Well, they should with the different gearing I'm getting. I'm setting up for longer gears, and I won't be swapping highway tranny's for race trannys every weekend. Too busy for that. I love Lexuses, man. My apologies for being a dick. But in a quarter mile, my car won't do the fastest times due to the longer Muncie gears.

  • Long overdue reply but this car currently puts down around 720whp on E85 at 32psi. The cutout is now relocated and built on a new custom exhaust. The cutout significantly reduces exhaust backpressure. I have a "interesting" setup. I kept the Lexus stock mufflers for the awesome quietness for day to day cruising/driving. I open the cutout when I need to really put down the power. Best output I got with cutout closed was around 575rwhp(going through OEM mufflers), cutout open was around 720whp.

  • @teamproject No way. 150whp difference?

  • @teamproject

There's no way just freeing up exhaust flow gives you that much power. Nice try though.

  • @CoChicken1337

Have you seen how restrictive a stock Lexus exhaust system is? It's very restrictive and that's how they make it so quiet. When you're pushing out that much CFM out of the stock 2.5" diameter piping then it's going to create huge backpressure with a turbo that has a 4" exhaust outlet. For a non turbo car or one that is low powered (under 300-400hp) then a cutout vs stock exhaust probably won't make much difference. But in this case, it makes a pretty significant difference.

  • @teamproject

There's nothing you can say to make me, or anyone else that knows anything about cars, believe you. Have a nice day.

  • @CoChicken1337

Try putting a 2.5" exhaust on a engine trying to push 30psi of boost vs a 4" exhaust. With the 2.5" exhaust there is so much backpressure that the turbo isn't even able to hit the full 30psi of boost. Anyways, get back to me after you've built a few high HP turbo cars. G'day.

  • @teamproject

You're going to gain power but not 150 horses, man. It's just not going to happen on an engine like this.

  • @CoChicken1337 You sir have no idea what your are talking about. just because your car makes 400whp and spits out flames has nothing to do with his car running rich.and where are these videos of your 400whp 3000.all i see is paintball videos. 30psi is alot of air moving through and if you know anything on how a turbo works you would know that a turbo works off exhaust pressure. If hes he has a small 2.5 exhaust and is pulling that much air then he is choking his car and thus not producing power

  • @jdm1jzmk3

    Wrong person, moron.

  • Bored .70 overl

    LOFL!!!

  • You are a liar.

  • totally bad-ass dude kinda what i wanna get. how much more hp do you get?

  • what exactly is an electric cutout? and lets say i put a catback on my lexus, and i want to put on a test pipe. would that be a plug and play modification?

  • I'm thinking about doing an electric cutout. Nice demonstration!

  • thats totally wicked
