  • U are so neat! I love your vids!!!

  • would this work for genie locs? (yarn braids)

  • It still looks pretty! I'm going to try curl my dreads this Sunday using the pipe cleaners. :-)

  • I think my hair is too long (my hair is to the back of my thighs). I tried with just one loc per pipe but there was only curl towards the end. I left them in 5 days.

  • I just did the pipe curls for the first time and loved them also, gotta post my vid soon~ My locs are a little thicker and they worked great for them, thanks for sharing:)

    Peace and Love !~ Harmony

  • love it!

  • I love all your styles but I really like the curls you did with the pipe cleaners. Very becoming. It give you a whole new look. Also, what is the name of the eyeshadow that you have on on the vid? That green is hot. And what kind of sheer gloss would recommend I wear?

  • Keep'em comin ! Thanks

  • great advice, I've been looking for good products and treatment for my dreads, thanks!!!!

  • add honey to the aloe vera gel till it's 1 consistency. I use it for my hair, which is really tight kinky hair, and my boyfriends hair, which is MUCH more resistant to locking than mine because of his loose texture, but it holds mine until I wash and his for about a week....which is much better than the mango n lime on either of us and 100% organic

  • I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee your locks!! Your videos will come in handy cus i recently moved away from home and I use to go to my hairdresser for everytthinggg now i gotta do it all on my own :(!!! so THANKS!!!

  • See now, look what you and Kokofemme started! "What did we start?" you might ask... Y'all got my sister dipping into my ACV stash *dramatic music* LOL! It's all good though, she and I watched both videos and she is getting ready to use it as I type. We will follow up with her results later. Already, I do an ACV rinse (got a video about, like to see it, have a look LOL). Thx for sharing what is working with your locs because one day I will make that commitment; for now rockin' my loose hair ;-)

  • Alsooo...Im going to this All white party...and Im wearing all white with blue and white marbled heels and silver accessories...Is it possible for you to do an eye-shadow tutorial that will make my outfit pop! ...If you can Thanx in Advance!

  • Hey! I've been watching your videos for sometime now, I think it's safe to say that you somehow inspired me to Finally Loc my hair, they've been loced about 3-4 months now and I usually wash and retwist them every 2 weeks...Should I be retwisting them so often or shold I just wash and freeform them? I also use Creme of Nature Shampoo but I dont use any conditioners, is this a wise choice? I also wanna kno if the pipe cleaners will work 4 me as well being that all my locs aren't fully loced yet

  • You look real nice with tight curls

  • ((1st time commentator, long time viewer)) Thank u so much for the info on the rinse. I had to stop my husband before he got home from work so he could scoop the vinegar from the store for me! I did it last night, and you were right, it was AMAZING! I can't believe the difference it made, considering I shampoo regularly, but I'm definitely adding this to the routine. FYI: had my dreads 3 yrs and counting, and my oldest girl (4yrs) has them too :)

  • eep! you look so cute with your hair in the pipecleaners! and thanks for the shout out! you look beautiful!!! and i need to try the ACV rinse!

  • Gurl, Im in Alabama and you gonna have me at Wal-mart looking for that bag! I am a HUGE Cheapinista! LOL!

  • I like it too. It's definitely different and girly

  • I found that shampoo.. I went to New York this weekend (Im from Toronto) So I went to dollar tree and I saw the 3 in 1 I bought two bottle can't wait to try it. :) maybe Ill do a vid review.

Your pipe cleaner curls looks cute.

  • Hi BG! You got it going on girl here's a "That's what's up" for the shout out on the natural ingredients! That ACV rinse can be overwhelming but you can't beat it! You looked very nice nxt time wait on the dry time ok truss that when completely dry, you'll will be one dangerous diva. *smile* you might have to put restraint papers on your hubby! (hee hee) Stay on the new girl peace!

  • Thank you for all your loc tutorials and inspirational thoughts. You have made my loc journey easier. I just started my locs 4 months ago. I have tried your styles out and I love them, they look so cute and I get lots of compliments. I checked out Kokofemme and Chesacaleigh , and subscribed to them both. I cant wait to try the pipe cleaner curls, this weekend. Thank you for all your information.

    God Bless,

    Urcutienish

  • Love this vid...u did 2 of my favorite things to ur locs.....i love the ACV rinse....but i like to do mine b4 i shampoo....it works better 4 my locs...and the pipe cleaner curls is my 1# favorite loc style....looks AMAZING ON U....love...love...it...

  • How long did it take your hair to dry? Did you sit under the dryer?

  • Very cute!!

  • you can also use ACV and baking soda....it's a detox, that breaks down build up.

  • I love this look! my hair is pretty long now and it's good to know there are dozens of styles for us. i wanted to try the lock loops but i can't find them in any beauty store. but pipe cleaners are much more available. your videos are the best. thanks.

  • @rhonstarr I use flexiroads on my Sisterlocks and it works really well! Do try them, if you are unable to get hold of pipe cleaners.

  • Cute look on you... I love pipecleaner curls. My locs are not anywhere near the length of yours so I usually do a single loc per pipecleaner (which can still take a while since I have 102 locs). They hold for a while when I do them but I will be glad when I get more lengh so the curls are fuller from day one rather than by the end of week one when they start to drop... All in due time I guess.

  • Hi BronzeGoddess01- Just wanted to tell you that I love your tutorials. I have had Sisterlocks for about 1.5 yrs and mine are almost shoulder length. Questions: 1) What is the ratio between the ACV and water? 2) After shampooing, what do you do first rinse with water or rinse with the ACV? Thank you.

  • @Mspuddin67 I don't exactly measure so I never gice ratios out. I eyeball it. I wash my hair, rinse with water, spray my hair with the rinse (follow the steps) and then thoroughly rinse with water.

  • Love the look! Can you please do a tut on your eyeshadow look?

  • I don't even have locs and I watch your loc tutorials! lol I just have to say your locs are beautiful and the styles are bursting with diva-ness! lol

  • really, really cute ;o)

  • i'm scared to use ACV. i have colored locs and i heard the ACV wouls strip the color faster. anyone else heard of this?

  • looks good!

  • hey BG you get a more intense curl w/ more volume if you do less locs in the pipe cleaner. I have an example in my bored =beauty part 2 vid. love the look & I rock it often when it's hot .

  • beautiful..

  • ooooooh, sometimes I just use them on the ends of my hair for a loose curl that soon turns to a wave.

  • I started using different products to ensure a tight hold but realized that if my hair was wet/damp it didnt need anything. I do, however, like using a mix of aloe vera, water, and glycerin to moisturize my locs so that they dont look dry-important because my hair is colored

  • I love using pipe cleaners. I actually wore them in my hair for 3 days! It was cute with the cleaners in there. I did 1 loc per cleaner so the curls came out nice and tight. My locs are more than half way down my back and it took my length to right above my shoulders. I didn't realize how much I missed my locs being short! No more rollers for me!

  • @tip6187 yes, the good thing about the pipe cleaners is that you can wear them out depending on how many you put on the pc. I wore mind for a week and it looked like a short do. people thought id cut my hair, lol.

The other thing is that you do get different curls based on how little (or how many) you put on on the PCs and, yes, 1 or 2 per PC gives tight curls that will last for weeks (if you can stand it that long w/o washing)

  • I LOVE IT! I had her video already favorited so I have been waiting to get my freakin pipe cleaners. Oh I was wondering can you do a vid about twisting your locs and getting the edges slicked back....girl I be having beatty beads in the front! lol

  • I can't wait til my locs get long enough to try this. . . I should look up more ways to camouflage my lil' one-yearlings when Im between twists.

  • girl you look stinking cute. I'm running out to get some pipe cleaners.

  • I really love your hair and you make some great videos with lots of fabulous information.

  • I've started paying more attention to ensuring that my hair is moisturized...my locs. I have just an oil and wather mixture that i use. Is doing it twice a day good? Also, how often do you oil your scalp?

  • beautiful curls -- love it! very becoming on you, too!

  • i like how they turned out! very cute!

  • You have such a cute babyface!! I love the curly look with your locs!! I'm also natural and i'm completely and utterly in love with your locs and how you style and keep it funky! Natural hair is sooo versatile! :D

-Peace and love from a fellow natural haired atl diva. ;P ♥

  • I have done this and being that my locks are a lot smaller...I got that real big hair look...lol. I liked it better when i did it with the locks sectioned off in ponytails (chescalocs vid) then put the pipe cleaners on the ends it was a better look for me. Yours looks lovely though.

  • You look beautiful! I like it. :)

  • I like!

  • hey Bronze Goddess, I pray that one day that there will be a Walmart in brooklyn, ny....ugghhh they have the best deals!!! i love, love, love the hair!!!!

  • your hair looks cute and i love your eye makeup!

  • Very Pretty Curls!

    Shalom & Blessings!

  • I love it~ Thank you for all of your videos.

  • yay for the barber shop water bottle!!! hehe i think mines so cool cuz of the designs hehe

  • I think you should try Carols Daughter- I use her Shea butter loc mixed with Jane solutions retwist gel.. Works great and smells so good

  • hey BG!! to get even tighter curls....and i mean slinky tight...use perm rods. I use the blue ones and i only put one loc on each rod. it takes forever to do, but mine lasts 3 weeks (i only do it during the cooler months though...humidity will make them fall quickly). my hair looks like a short afro after i use the perm rods! lol!!

  • @meroekhalia Oooo I wish you had pics. I'd like to see. I have permrods but not the tiniest ones they make and I think I put like 5 locs per pipe clearner.

  • @BronzeGoddess01 girl i have tons of pics! look up meroe khalia on facebook.

  • @BronzeGoddess01 I use a combo of the tiny blue permrods and grey or peach (the next size) and pipe cleaner, because some of my longer locs tend slip out of the rod...I have the hardest stime with the thicker ones. Anyhoo for hold...Jane Carter's natural hair holding spray is great. I also use Nubian Kinks locing pomade all natural and you use it on the whole loc. Last one Talia Wajid makes a foam....(seriously the pomade is the pom..feels like light body butter. love your vids by the way..

  • @meroekhalia - Speaking from experience, the pipe cleaner curls result in a tighter curl than perm rod curls. The very best curls I've ever had though resulted from bantu knots. Nothing like a curling method you can wear as a style and then result in another style that lasts for weeks!

Just my opinion though... Inspirations and blessings!

  • @Nat0526 Glad ur back....I look forward to more vids from u..

  • @Nat0526 I have never tried pipe cleaners myself, but from what I have seen on other people, and from the perm rod curls I have done on myself, I have gotten way tighter curls with them. I will eventually do a loc tut on all the different ways I curl my locs. I love the results that I get from bantu knots, but no matter how loose I do them they always hurt my head and I can't wait ot take them out! lol!

  • @meroekhalia

you can also use the sponge rollers and you will have the same look. It takes just as long, but at least they are more comfortable to sleep in.

  • @meroekhalia you also use sponge rollers and will get the same effect plus you can sleep in the sponge rollers!

  • Your curls are gorgeous. I can't wait until I have locs. I am rocking kinky twist until I get enough new growth.

  • Pipe cleaners are the best arent they?!? Sometimes I roll each loc to get a super tight curly look that lasts for 2+ weeks!!!

  • I love the curls on you...I am 5 months locked and I do ACV rinses all the time...Luv it. I wanted to know also if you use homemade spritz's and if so what EO's do you use or maybe do a vid on spritz's, I have so many different EO's but I'm not sure if its doing anything...lol.

  • I think it looks awesome!

  • very pretty :)

  • your first link is messed up. just thought i'd let u know :-)

  • Thank you for this video! : )

  • Thanks @BronzeGoddess01 :)

  • I love it! I'm gonna do them on mine, I have a question for u though. I started my locs w/ 10-12 1/2in of loose natural hair, how long before u washed ur hair when u started ur locs with two strand twists? I use dry shampoo but it's not working out that great, I'm gonna try the acv rinse though. Also I'm about 2 months into my loc journey.

  • @Rheasharae I washed my hair ever week. It would unravel in the beginning but eventually it didn't and that's when I knew my hair was fully loc'd. I wish I new about the ACV rinse earlier but I would definitely try it if I were you.

  • @Rheasharae Even thought everyone tells us not to wash locs... The truth is, that it is not healthy for the scalp to go for such long periods without being washed.

  • @singinggirl19 Thanks for checking out the video anyway then. It means even more coming from a non-locer.

  • I feel ur pain re: waiting for curls to dry. Did u air dry or use a dryer?

  • @beigansistalocs Air dry. I haven't had heat on my hair in 5+ years.

  • Your curls came out great! I am sitting here with my pipe cleaners in after viewing Chescaleighs tutorial waiting to dry. Thanks!!!

  • @oblady1 I just posted another strawberry letter and the style I'm rocking is with 3 day old curls. They're still bouncy! These are lasting great. :0)

  • SUPER CUTE!!!

  • This is crazy! I was just looking for pipe cleaners online and I decided to come on here and there you are! Haha

  • @nickaraye Talk about great timing huh?

  • @BronzeGoddess01 Haha, definitely! I'm gonna try this on my twists. I don't have locs, but I'm hoping it turns out well.

  • I can't wait to try the pipe cleaners on my locs... another great video... Thanks for sharing

  • Your hair look great!! When my locs get longer I will try this style too

  • @Givergurl Don't wait. I think this will look cute on shorter locs too. You can do a loc hawk with the curls. Super cute.
