@SweetDarkChels she's doing it right. i have the same kit and this way works bestt. she's right, makeup has no rules. how it works best for u is the right way. you can spray your face with spray paint if that works best for you, no ruless.

i just got my bare minerals, i haven't used it yet since i been home sick with pneumonia, i cant wait to try it out. but i heard it really sticks to dry skin and makes it looks weird, did you have this problem at all? should i moisturize really good before using this stuff? also how long do you think it will last before you need to touch up throughout the day? even on not hot days? thank you for the tutorial! you look amazing

@Mishie666 you have to moisturize well before applying it. i used to touch up every few hours when i used it for a year or so. when i use it now, i touch up only a few times a day. make sure to put on concealer still. whatever you strongly try to conceal fades fast.

i have dry skin n dis product even though its powder it goes on really smooth n creamy.. i really dont know how u wuld make it stick.. not unless if u pack on a lot of the product n not buff it enough on your face...

you should ALWAYS ALWAYS put moisturizer b4 u put on ur makeup dont matter wat kind of skin you have...

i usually put mine in the morning and i wont touch up till waaaaay later like mayb around 7ish n dats just to refresh my makeup

i use estee lauder extreme coverage as a concealer, estee lauders double wear foundation, clinque stay matte sheer pressed powder, any bronzer and blush. i prefer regular double wear over doublewear light, my skin is pretty clear, but it just gives this beautiful flawless finish that looks natural

honestly, it did not look natural on me.

it's probably because my skin was dry when i wore it, but i think that liquid foundation looks more natural than bareminerals.

*HUGE TIP!!!!* I fell in love with the infomercial, and was going to place my order when I realized my local makeup shop sold the starter kit. I got my color matched by a professional who made me up and talked me through each step for the exact same price advertized on the commercial! Try calling your local makeup shops/spas to see if a store carries them near you!!!! It saved me from selecting the wrong color.

1.this is supposed to improve your skin.. for me it did.

2.the brushes SUCK!! they are spikey and smelly the bristles ALWAYS fall out and they are impossible to clean. it smells like skunk)

3.you need to get the handy buki brush. it works SO much better than the kabuki brush

4.you can buy refills that come in bigger containers

6. you when it looks packed on or unnatural.. i use a cosmetic sponge to wipe away excess and then it looks good.

also, bellabelle1285 is wrong. you can apply it as a conclear before or after, it doesn't matter because it's going to be blended anyway. plus you DON'T always need the primer. i like to use it for cosplay eyeshadows myself.

In my opinion I cannot tell any notable difference with or without the makeup on you. I'm not sure if my relation in being a guy constitutes an intrinsic lack of perception in this sector or not but I purchased this kit for my Mother as a Christmas gift because she has sensitive eyes and skin. well if you play then pause the video and wait for it to load, you will see that i have a lot of redness around my nose and i have acne. if you go to the end of the video, you will notice that i don't have any redness anymore.

i don't think you have to be skeptical about this product.

...cont.. I don't use mineral veil on those prone to breakouts because the cornstarch in it can promote the growth of bacteria that causes breakouts. So leave the mineral veil to others. and the most important thing is washing your brushes. If they look dirty, you've waited too long. and brushes used on blemishes MUST be washed on a daily basis. This may seem like a pain but you don't know how many times that was the issue.

it won't generally make it worse unless your pimples and stuff are dry. you just need to moisturize a lot.

oh! and i suggest going to your dermatologist & getting Differn. I'm using that now, and my twin sister has used it for about 10 months, it works great. Her skin is so clear compared to mines. Haha. Well good luck. :]

Bareminerals is a great foundation, but there are other products i would team it up with. For primer, MAC prep and prime skin (if you have oily skin because prime time tends to make the foundation "slide" off the face) and their Blot Powder Pressed or Mineralize Skinfinish. (Blot powder will leave a true matte finish & mineralize will leave a slight glow. it really depends on preference but most of my clients with breakouts usually go for matte since it reduces the appearence of texture).

when u use the concealer brush rub the sides of the brush against the lid to get the sides packed with minerals for great results. then swipe for light coverage, pat on for MAX coverage using your concealer brush. then follow with warmth in the shape of 2 number 3's starting at your nose. they should mirror each other. so it makes a butterfly kinda... then follow with blush and mineral veil. if u please apply any radiance that you love.

okay good try but you are appling it all wrong. you need to start with skin rever upper then use a moisturizer that fits your skin type. after that you may follow with prime time... the primer made by bare escentuals. then starting with bare minerals foundation, pour some into the top, swirl and tap off the access minerals. buff in a circle motion from the outside of your face towards the inside. apply as many layers as desired for max coverage. then follow with concealer on the spots.

Hey. Bare minerals will work if you moisturize your face prior to application. I tried Covergirl actually. their Trublend Minerals; number 405. I saw no difference. You could see the make up on me also. I highly recommend bare minerals. But before you buy it, try stopping by a sephora store so you can ask them if they can put some on you. You're not buying it, just try it out and decide whether you like it or not. That's what I did. :] Good luck.

p.s.- i really noticed was that if your skin isn't mostly clear, the make up will DEFINATELY appear on your acne.

p.p.s.- it's great for covering up redness.. which i always had. but you had to touch it up every couple hours.
