Green screens are the most popular because green is the farthest primary color away from the color of skin. There are also blue screens too like darnallt said.

Right, but it is in the makeup of visible light. RGB. All technically are good for chroma, Red not so much because skin has quite a bit of red pigment in it. In digital graphics, you're on two different scales. RGB--video/web/electronic graphics or CMYK--print. You're final design is going to have a mix of these colors, never anything else (well besides lightness that is). So when pulling a key, red green or blue is always best.
