"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
Samuel Adams, (1722-1803) U.S. Founding Father and Public Enemy #1
Catch ad, but I find it somewhat ironic. It attacks the opposition's moral character. But what about the copyright infringements of the ad? I hardly believe they got permission from Vonage to copycat their ads.
There is no copyright infringment, as this ad constitutes political advocacy, is non-commercial, and is what is known as "fair use" of material. There have been other, similar ads that have been successfully defended in US District Courts.
My moral compass is fine and dandy, thank you very much. Me copycatting an ad has brought me jack-all in payment- Conrad Burns got a free, first-class jet flight to a golf tourney, in exchange for pushing through laws that benefit a multibillion dollar corporation, at the expense of the average american. I'm a parodist- Conrad Burns is a corporate shill. Besides- Vonage doesn't own the copyright to the song, neither does it have a copyright on white text against an orange background.
Fantastic ad. And Dem or Republican, if you aren't representing the interests of the country (or at least your constituents), you deserve this kind of a public "outing".
One of the best political ads I have ever seen! Doesn't matter if it was Dem. or GOP, The ad wasn't mudslinging or negative, it just stated he was stupid! GREAT.

I'd vote for Tester, myself, but I wonder how long it will take him to start accepting the kick-backs...

Hopefully you'll get the douche bag out of office, don't count on it though as republicans control the vote counting.

Parody is protected speech. Now, whether or not they got permission from the 5 6 7 8's is another matter entirely.

Plus, parody is widely protected by several Supreme Court rulings.
