Gen means "general" (I think). "Slash" means a romantic, sexual relationship between two men. "Gen" is the opposite of "slash".
I like this vid because it shows the ups and downs of the Eppes brothers relationship. It's more gen than slash.

I liked it as a brother relationship. I don't think Charlie's relationship with Don should be slashy though. Nice vid though, worked w/ the music.
