This sound recording is from the USA, not Yugoslavia. The siren is A american Thunderbolt 1000, made by federal signal. The siren heard at the end is a 2T22, also made by federal signal.
I heard this while shopping one day. Apparently they sound it now and then for no reason. Scared the shit out of me, I was on the verge of hyperventilating.
last friday of every month this would sound and then we would duck under our desks and cover our heads with our hands. Untill it was over in 3mims. untill 1967 or 8 .
i think when MAD (mutual assured destruction ), was addopted by The U.S. and the U.S.S.R.. In 68. these stopped. mabye 1967 or 68, cant remember the exact year.
I do remember this drill and getting under our desks.
