One correction for the recap, in the hotel kozlov is not shocking his brother to kill the alien, just to keep it inside the brother's body - I actually speak Russian.

And I have to give the fringe people props for actually getting someone who speaks good Russian for this episode, rather than having someone read a Latin transcription of their line(s), like they did in Unearthed.

Broyles actually has smiled before. After they catch the Colonel, while Walter is cheering, he smiles for a second but quickly dashes it away.

Some people think that, but ultimately he wants his brother to live (I didn't get the feeling he was a self sacrificing humanitarian). So he really wants the alien gone so he can have his brother back.

I liked this episode more than some of the previous, but that is not to say that it was great. But episode 7 was awsome!! Cant wait to see that recap.

thx for maintaining the recaps. I miss the cliffhangers and the intensity that Fringe had on Season 1. I hope the episodes keep getting better as the season 2 goes by.

i think we got spoiled with the first season and now that the episodes have slowed down (which I'm sure is for a big plot twist) we think that they are boring.

I, too, found this episode to be rather boring...but I truly enjoyed Of Human Action and the cliffhanger was perfect!!

You said that that brother was shocked to extract the alien when really he was containing it, preventing it from projecting itself out of the body to kill. Same with Walter. Walter was going to shock the body in an attempt to get the shadow back to the body, NOT extract it. Broils then did that the fast way.

Yeah that seems to be a point of disagreement among some people. Several people I know, including my wife and mother think what you just said. But in the end, Koslov wants to save his brother and keeping the alien in the body doesn't do that. So ultimately he wants it out.

Ultimately yes, but the point of shocking the host body was to contain the shadow. To keep it from killing other people.

And this was the first episode of Fringe I had to watch twice to get. And an alien? They said they wouldn't put any aliens in it!

Did they say that? It's too bad they didn't explain a bit more. They seemed to like calling it an organism throughout the episode, but and organism from outer space is an alien, so there's no way around it.
