  • This video was so educational. I posted it in y facebook page, for all the people that like to get bronzer happy lol.

  • thank you so much for this....

  • your so funny enkore! love your videos!

  • ive actually seen a product its called faked baked bronzer

  • i love bronzer, but i know alot of women apply all over which is dead funny, its a big no no. lol

  • hahah! dry rubbed baked look...too funny...great video, man! You rock!

    oxoxox

    - Jess

  • what good bronzer should i buy they said nyc sunny bronzer is good..but they said it's bad i dnt really know..c'mon reply me bck thx..btw i like that bronzer that u r holding what brand is it?

  • dude you make this stuff so fun! i LOVE your personality

  • what if first i use bronzer and then set it with a powder with finishing with some bluch.. .. no fondation, for a summer.. :)))

  • so what do i do if I wan to be sunkissed and contour at the same time???

  • Can you use bronzer in winter without it looking dirty? And should you use a different bronzer for winter compared to summer. We have 6 feets of snow in winter haha so I need to do something to not look like a ghost!

  • thank you soooo much for this! so much help :)

  • great tip, I will ask for that mineralize skinfinish natural.. because I don't like shimmer in bronzers. :)

  • @Liatha1 ok Mac got a Fourth color: matte bronze! ;) no shimmer I think

  • Hi Koren LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! I'm new to makeup so I needed some advice! I didn't know you could use bronzer AND blush too...I'm rather pale from working at night so I might just try using both.

  • Hi Encore,

I also use Smashbox's Smashing Lights as a highlighter. I put that in the areas you said to put the bronzer. Would I use the bronzer in place of the highlighter or place it under the highlighter?

    Thanks so much!

Also, I'm running a make-up contest giveaway and I'd love it if you'd participate.

  • 2:23 lol

  • What shades suits asian skin best? Dark , darker or darkest shade?

  • omg! im so glad i found this video!

i needed to know what kind of bronzing blush i needed! and you told me thanks a million!

  • you are awesome !! thanks :)

  • I have a question, what if you want to achieve a bronzed look but you want to contour your cheekbones too? Because I ususally use my bronzer below my cheekbones for contour so please help... :)

  • use two shades

    one darker for contour

  • ok I tried your tip today and it looked really natural and not over done at all like I thought would. Thanks for the tip :)

  • golden is an ok shade. depending on what brush you use and all the blending involved. i found the 129 brush usually puts too much color (hence orange) so you have to graze the skin. versus a 134 brush gives a sheer buildable look. if you want more less shimmer and more brown try thebalm's bahama mama or nars laguna.

  • How is golden the most popular bronzer???? that doesn't really make sense. there isn't one popular skin shade>

  • Well he makes it quite clear it suits quite alot of skin tones.... he didnt say there was a popular skin shade. The shade of bronzer is popular due to it being so versatile.

  • you are so pretty! I love your skin and eyes ♥

  • dry rubbed baked look *stares intently* lmao<3

  • nice, thanks

  • You are gifted thanks

  • i loveeee the song. i keep restarting the vid just to listen to it lmao

  • frost-bitten? lol

  • I wanna the mineralize in tone dark for all my face, can I USE for that,my skin color it´s medium

  • I have de golden BRONZING powder by mac , my color skin is medium i can use this product?

  • Im looking for a good bronzer (im a fair asian guy) u mentioned the (skin finish natural)= is that a bronzer by Mac? or is that a foundation that can act like a bronzer???

  • will a powder brush thats really quite big will work to buff it up??

  • great! this is truly helpful. Thanks so much sir! :)

  • Thank you! That was so helpful xx

  • Lovely, thankyou!

  • wow! a lot of information! This helped a lot .I wasn't sure i you could use bronzer and blush at the same time allways tought that you had to use one or the other

  • whats the song at the begining!? i LOVE it.. i want to buy it.. or download ti!

  • "dry-rub and baked" look...(with the eye brows)...

    hahaha...

  • hahah enkore ur so cute

  • is it okay to use mineralize skin finish natural that's darker than my skin color as a contour?

  • yup you can use MACS MSF darker than your skin colour and it works just as great :)

  • love it...!! fabulous...!!

  • I just wrote a post about this on my blog

  • This helped ALOT!

Sadly, I stay pale all year round.

But now I can actually look tan (:

  • Koren, I love your videos and I really want to know if there was a difference between Mac Bronzer and Mac MSF. Thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • i love this theme song.

    tarzan right?

    trashing the camp?

  • nice :]

    xxx

  • tell you viewers that if you use too much bronzer you will look muddy!

  • or maybe you do?

  • which video can teach me how to do the eye makeup from ur profile pic?cuz thats awesome...

  • thats from the ALL GEL LINER Fall Color Eye Look video

  • gangrene on you..haha. you're awesome!

  • amazing

  • great video I love it you're amazing!!!! anyways I wear bronzer all year lol I"m so bad lol

  • hahah i love that.

"think more like sunkissed look rather than sun-attacked"

    :)

    love your videos

  • You're amazing, Koren! You're so informative! :]

  • Hi Koren, Can u do a creamy bronzing please... Thx...

  • Ugh, I have friends who jump take a blush brush and rub it all over their face. They look like pumpkins. Thanks for making this it was really helpful.

  • Once again BIG THANK YOU :0

  • Is it ok to wear blush and bronzer at the same time?

  • yup, just make sure you don't overload! i usually like to wear a sheer wash of blush on the apples, and a small bit of bronzer on the cheekbone.

  • Gangrene look!!! Hahaha :-))), that is the best I've heard so far, you are GREAT! Thank your for your brilliant tips!

  • is it wrong to apply bronzer everywhere in your face? help!! i really love bronzers but dont really know how to apply it.

  • bronzer should be applied only to areas that the sun will naturally hit you first. A lot of women apply bronzer all over and looks like they fake-and-baked in a tanning salon. So think more like sunkissed look rather than sun-attacked.

  • @littlemissme222 i use it all over and it does work, just do it properly! it looks nice on xx

  • I love you Koren. You're the best. I love how you explain things. You are so thorough and gives tons of tips. Thanks again!!

  • What's the difference b/t bronzing and contouring??

  • bronzing add a sunkiss glow/warmth to the skin. Contouring add depth and dimension to facial features.

  • great videos! keep up the great work!

  • P.S. Can you bronze with a highlighted/contoured face? Seems like the bronze is applied in some areas that are usually highlighted? (seems self-explanatory I just need reassurance Thanks

  • Since the Mineralize SkinFinish Natural can be used as a bronzer... I shouldn't use it over my foundation as a finish (to set)? (I'm a NW45 in Creme foundation) Also does that suggest I shouldnt use a bronzer with Mineralize SkinFinish?--one or the other basically?

  • you want your bronzer darker than your main coloring. So you can use a MSF thats your tone as a finisher, then use a darker MSF as a bronzer

  • Oh and when you put Bronzer on your cheeks you obviously can't use blush anymore correct?

  • I remember you had a countoring video. Can you countor with bronzer instead of a normal powder?

  • yes, you can use bronzers and MSFs

  • Would you reccomend using a dark bronzer on the applies of the cheeck..i guess it can be blush instead..but im wondering if it would look like the face is dirty? Should i stick to pink and red blushes?

  • i would suggest more of using it under the cheekbones much like contouring it, then use a little blush on the apples for a little color.

  • please help me.. which MAC bronzer would you recommend for NC40?

  • definitely try Bronze

  • You have no idea how much your videos help me! Thank you!!

  • haha wow I should tell my mom to sop wearing bronzing cuz she looks like a burn bread, cuz she dont know this thanks pfor the vid...

  • Hey, your video really helped me a lot.

But I was wondering what cheaper brand of bronzer would you recommend? College and MAC just don't mix, haha.

  • Your awesome! I love your videos!

  • i Luv.luv your videos!!..you really give [[Great]] Advice!

    Questioned!

    Wat Would u Prefer!

Applying Foundation on first?? [[OR]] Applying the [[Bronzer]] first??

    thanks!

    BTW!..keep up the good work!!

  • always apply the foundation first. it will even out your tone, and its the first you do, muck like priming a canvas for artwork.

  • thanks koren! lov ur vids.. really helps!

  • cool! thanks koren! just got bronzing powder in GOLDEN n follow ur tips, just FABULOUS!

  • hey koren can I use 150 brush to apply bronzing powder?

  • hey Louisiuol - you sure can!

  • Hi Enkore,

If i didnt want a shimmery/glittery bronzer and instead wanted a matte colour should I go for the ones that don't have 'refined' in the name??

  • yes, the refined ones usually have added shimmer/glitter.

  • whats darker? refined golden or golden.

  • hey Kay - the tone is the same, refined is glittery. Thats the diff. Now, Bronze and Refined Bronze are darker than Golden.

  • what color do you reccomend for a NC35 color.

    refined golden or Golden?

  • Golden

  • hey enkore im dont like any shimmer and i can not afford mac

ive tried many bronzers and they always endup looking orangey and fake on my fair skin what can i do??

thank you for the insparational videos

  • het pat - definitely try mineralized foundation in a darker tone that suits your undertone. Its cheaper and it works just as good as any bronzers.

  • hey enkore, could you use the 187 duo fibre brush to apply bronzer as opposed to the 129?

  • hey Melly - you definitely can!

  • 5* =)

  • can we use our MAC coutouring duo powder as a bronzer?

  • hey Kay - yes, they make great natural lookin bronzers.

  • can you do a graduation/prom look?

  • hey EnKore, when I smile, I dont have apples on my cheeks. I dont have a cheek bone. all i see is that my face getting wide, so i dont know how to put on my blush or my bronzer ): please help

  • You can try doing the FISH FACE that most do. Where the skin sink you contour and where it puffs, thats where your cheekbone is, so blush that. You can also feel your cheeks and feel for the bone.

  • Hey Encore.

I purchased the sculpt and shape power as in your other videos to define my face but I also like to look bronzed with my bronzing powder.

Is there an order in how to apply 1. Foundation, 2. Bronzer etc? Thanks dude :)

  • hey babab0y - yes, its best to contour first - them bronze. Bronzing is almost like the final finishing touch to the look.

  • Hi EnKore, just wondering...what do u recommend...bronzing or the duo color sculpting powder?

  • well, they are 2 different purposes - Bronzing is if you want a golden glow or warmth added to your skin. Sculpting is reshaping the features of your face, like narrowing the nose, making the cheeks pop more, narrowing jawline, etc.

  • is it possible to use both? or would that be too much? because it seems like you put the dark powder of the duo sculpting under the cheek and the bronzing powder on top of your cheeks...so it seems like your whole cheek will be dark. I'm just wondering how that works

  • i have medium dark brown skin tone and its really hard to have that ''golden tan'' look because everytime i wear bronzer i just end up looking darker.

i just want that fresh radiant skin look.

    How should i get it????

  • hey mizzy - then you dont need a bronzer - what you need is use a foundation that has a dewey glow finish to it, like Hyper Real Foundation.

  • i love this look. Thank you:)

  • Hi enkorn umm which bronzer would you recommend for median beige with a golden undertone? in concealers for under the eyes i am a moisturecover nw 25 and studio finish nc35 help!!!

  • GOLDEN Bronzer should be ok with your coloring.

  • Hey Koren!

Can you reccomend which MAC bronzer would be good for a NC15 skintone?

  • hey skyler - definitely check out GOLDEN mac bronzer.

  • your sooooo funny,

    i love you!

    dry baked look. hahaha

  • Hello Koren...thanks for the videos..I went to sephora to get something for contouring and they gave me the sephora brand light bronzer...now that Im stuck with it..Should it be working for contouring as well, because I didnt need a brozer.

  • hey mimi- bronzers do make good contouring powders. As long as its dark enough for the look you are going for. Avoid using bronzers in the orangey side, the tan/brown ones are better for contouring.

  • hey Koren!

I hope this doesn't come off as stupid, because from what I've seen you place the product in the same spot.

But is there a difference between contouring and bronzing?

I've noticed the colours used for contouring are more matte and meant to shape your cheeks, while bronzing uses more shimmer and meant to give a glow.

Wow haha I may have answered my own question. :p

But I want to hear an answer from the expert

    Thanks! :]

  • haha diana - yeah you pretty much answered it. Contouring is to reshape facial features, make your cheeks pop etc. Bronzers mainly add warmth, glow, and shimmer to your skin for that sunkissed glow.

  • Hi from Germany!

    I really love your tutorials!!!

Can I have a question about to cover acne scars? I have your skin tone und don´t use bronzer or blush because I dont wanna have more shadows on my face :(

Should I use only matte eyeshadows und lipsticks?

    Thanks :D

  • THANKS! lol

  • Hey! Can anyone suggest a natural looking mat bronzer (sparkle free) for light asian skin tones? Many Thanks =)

  • hey Verdandi - I love using Mineralized Skin Finish natural as a bronzer as it is natte and sparkle free.

  • dry rubbed baked look. haha i totally agree there are a bunch of girls at my school that just wear way too much bronzer and it looks TERRIBLE!!!! thanks for your videos theyre awesome!!!

  • Bronzers are meant to be used in like. Moderation. I love that! And I love your videos. I'm NW40ish(or 35 sometimes), can you rec. a bronzer that may work for me? I'm all about them for spring! Thanks!

  • you can definitely check out Bronze bronzer. Or I like the new Medium Deep mineralized skin finish natural as a bronzer.

  • Thank You! =)

  • just to ask, after applying liquid foundation,is it okay to set it with a compact powder, instead of a loose powder?

I often set mine with a compact powder.

    Thanks Enkore!

  • absolutely! either Compact or Loose will work.

  • You always make me laugh...Keep doing what you're doing!

    XO,

    Lo

  • Your Channel I sMy guilty Pleasure =]

One Question Though, You Know when You Apply Bronzer, You Apply It To the bridge of your nose, but what if you have contoured your nose? then wouldn't it just look like you've darkend your nose?

i don't know if that makes sense...

    thansk anyways. x

  • hey custard - well its 2 completely different looks. Bronzed look is something you want to achieve that Ive been out in the sun today look. As opposed to that sculpted contoured nose that more worn for more of an evening or dramatic look.

  • i have two bronzers theyre not MAC. one is a golden color from IMAN & the other is a pinkish tone shimmer from physicians formula. i want that soft glowy look, but it comes out grainy. can you help me out here? thnx!

  • is it the shimmer one thats grainy? shimmer bronzers tend to be grainier than matte ones.

  • both of them are grainy...thats how they come out on my skin...

  • yeah - you might want to look into a smoother creamier bronzer. They should be soft and milled like, not grainy.

  • i went to MAC today & i overheard this lady asking the artist what she had on her face, it was iridescent powder...which is what i was looking for!

  • Thank you soooo much for this video, Koren!

  • hey Enkore, do you think bronzer would look good on medium asian skin tone. if so which would you reccomend and what shades?

  • hey nishal - sure! it will give your skin more warmth. You can use BRONZE. Or if you want something more natural looking, Mineralized SKINFinish natural in DEEP DARK also works great.

  • Hey Enkore, i was wondering if you could tell me which blush is the best for the summer ? .. preferably one that would simulate a healthy glow that a faint sunburn and exercise would create =] thank you.

  • hey Jrov - check out Tantone, Coppertone, Taupe, and Mocha.

  • super:D

  • Hi Koren..Can i used CreamBase Colour Root(Frost) to sculpt my nose?im NC42,trying sooo hard to find best product & colour to sculpt my nose..the Sculpt & Shape Duo is out of stock here..so pls give me some ideas on which colour to purchase...thanks ;*

  • you are officially my hero!

  • Hi Enkore!

Your videos are great! Can I have a question about bronzers? Which is the lightest shade from MAC? I have very fair skin tone (NW20). Thanks a lot in advance!

  • hey pkeroka - GOLDEN is the lightest Bronzer. If you decide to do the Mineralized ones, then Light Medium will probably suit your skintone.

  • MOre power KOren!Thank you for the tutorials!! keep it up!!!

  • Hello Koren, You mentioned that liquid foundation needs to be set with powder and I was just wondering whether the same applies to a mattifying foundation that sets (on its own) to a powder finish. I use Prescriptives Virtual Matte and while I have set it with powder in the past, sometimes it feels a bit like overkill. Thank you for your wonderful tutorials! You are incredibly informative and a pleasure to watch.

  • if it dries to a powder finish, and you feel it doesnt need further powdering, then skip it. Just make sure it completely sets tho, prior to other product application.

  • Thanks =)

  • i luv ur laugh!!!

  • I completely agree with you.. there's a lot of people that don't know how to apply bronzer properly.. Thanks for informing everyone. Love your vids Koren!

  • hey koren, just wondering i hve dry skin & want 2 change my foundation and do u recommend using a bush 2 apply? thanks lots of love from belfast xxx

  • definitely using a Brush makes a big difference. Try using MoisturBlend if you have dry skin.

  • Hi Koren,

I've heard that for people with a round shaped face, blush should NOT be applied on the apples of the cheeks as it accentuates the roundness of the face. Is this true?

  • Blush placement is pretty universal whether you have round, elongated, square, or triangular shape. The key to round face is COUNTOURING. Specially in the jawline to sculpt it a little.

  • Hi Koren! I just looove your vids, thy're so helpful and practical, I've totally improved my makeup skills because of you, so thanks! Just have a little request, is there a blush video coming soon? I've been playing it safe and just using cream blush directly on my liquid foundation and powder blush over a powdered face, but I really prefer the cream blush because it's so natural. But is it possibly to powder your face and use cream blush?
