Gay's VS Lesbians in the Heterosexual World

I have a lesbian friend and a gay friend, my lesbian friend has pretty much always been out and no one ever really said much about it, and she has lots of non-lesbian friends. Whereas my gay friend didn;t tell many people, he has lots of male friends and when two found out they were really nasty. they are still friends but acted like he had made a bad 'choice' So guess they won't be getting a gf anytime soon. But everyone else was supportive. Both of them are not obviously gay or over the top.

Why gays get more hate than lesbians:

Straight men find gay men repulsive cause they think gays might be attracted to them, and they're not gay so they find it disgusting.

Straight women are more open minded. Less ignorant. Except for the religious ones, of course. Straight men can be included in the religious group.

Straight men are attracted to women, so 2 girls are a turn on.

Straight women don't mind lesbians, bc they are open-minded, despite the possibility of them being sexually attracted.

i suppose that the whole reason for this is cuz guys are the ones with the kooky opinions, whereas most girls (at least in my experience) dont care or they dont let on. Its prolly why gurls and gay go together so well, too! idk, just an additional point :D

I think it is so interesting to hear about how gays are tread in other developed nations other then the US, it just shows how fare backwards and in the dark ages we are in the US when it comes to acceptance!!

It is because (straight) fathers have been setting a bad example since the beginning, not that (straight) mothers are perfect, people assume two fathers would have even more chance to f@#$ up.

Totally agree. This has been an absolutely amazing topic. Really got me thinking. It's amazing how accurate these video idea's have been. I agree with your opinion on your video 100%! My cousin just came out as a lesbian and it's been nothing but hard for people to accept that. Doesn't matter if people are gay or lesbian, people are people and should be accepted and treated the same as heterosexuals.

Hetero men are afraid of gay male sex- afraid it will affect them in some way and that will mean something about themselves. So they bully gay men. They are not afraid of lesbian sex. However, in my observations, women (especially young women) can bully lesbians if they seem like easy targets. Hate is so complicated!
