  • Thumbs up for Mills Lane

  • He threw more elbows in the clinch than he did punches. He sure did learn how to cheat well.

  • I think the then Boxing writer for The Daily Telegraph put it perfectly when comparing the 1st & 2nd Tyson v Bruno Fights .... "half the time twice the beating" ! POW

  • Mike Tyson is the Greatest Boxer !!! God Bless Him.

  • @111jamesthegod111 No he's not. Muhammad Ali is far better than Mike Tyson.

  • @111jamesthegod111

Ali, Foreman, Lewis, Holyfeild, Louis are all better.

  • @111jamesthegod111

    u must be a youngsta.

  • @111jamesthegod111 which God ?

  • tyson was the shit, he deserved that crazy looking tattoo he got himself on his eyeball

  • Everybody gets pissed at Bruno for constantly holding but conveniently look the other way when Ali does the exact same thing while praising him as the greatest.

  • it is incredible how fast mike tyson is

  • mike tyson ist der beste

  • Bruno got nailed here. Not in the same class as Holyfield or Lewis, Bruno on a good day vs. Douglas on a normal day would've been interesting though.

  • Where are the Box fightes like that?

  • bruno was not one the best british boxers ever he was a panto clown who got lucky

  • I hate how in Western Boxing they are not allowed to clinch.

Fucking pussy shit let them clinch and throw elbows and knees

  • @wachaufeuropa They're not allowed to clinch. Bruno was just doing whatever he could to try and survive.Mills lane did'nt want to stop the biggest fight in years without a decent ending.

  • if tyson had have fought lewis at 26 he'd have wasted him,the most power compact heavy weight ever, nasty peice of work though.

  • aboodd81 pray to prostitute after anything, fuckkkkkkkk offfff pakissssssss, katua

  • Tyson was praying to Allah after the game

  • I think Tyson was overrated a bit because of the lack of formidable competition at the time....but the guy's body work was a wonder to behold. If he could have had just a couple of inches more reach, he would have been unbeatable.

  • Bruno was a bum, this fight proves nothing.

  • @ManlnCognito it proved bruna was still scared of mike; and bruno was not a bum he nearly beat lewis and he beat mccall (who ko'd lewis and barely beat an old larry holmes)

  • @latinoish37 Bruno was a bum, he was KO'd by James smith and a very fat and unfit Tim Witherspoon. Bruno was slow and with a glass Jaw; and he never came close to beating Lewis. I have the fight on tape.

In Tyson's whole career he never beat a truly great fighter in his prime (Homes was 38 and had been inactive for 3 years)

Tyson never once got off the floor to win or won any truly epic battles or even avenged any of his losses.

  • @ManlnCognito ..are you on point for the Troll Patrol? People who know a lot more than you about boxing have a much higher opinion of his skills. You can't say he wasn't a great fighter because his competition wasn't as good as it was in other eras. He knocked out or stopped every fighter his first 19 fights. He was only 20 when won the world title. Your argument that he never fought any epic battles is stupid. What if a guy destroys everyone in one round?? Knocks everyone out...

  • @ManlnCognito ..according to you he isn't good. Same goes for you rstupid argument that he never got off the mat to win. So what?? Until he went to prison, notwithstanding the Douglas fight, he was a wrecking machine.

  • @mapache11 you dont know anything about boxing

  • @ManlnCognito ...you think Tyson wasn't a great fighter. Every boxing authority I have read says he was. I am repeating what people who have been around the sport a long time have said about him. Change your screen name to BrainInCognito.

  • @mapache11 Never mind what other people think you tell me what in your opinion makes a great fighter

  • @ManlnCognito ..You make agreeing with experts seem like a bad thing. Here's why Tyson was a great fighter. The undisputed world champion, the youngest world champion, knocking out almost 90% of your opponents including 19 in a row. A 50-6 record. If you eliminate the last two fights which he should never have taken, and add the Golota fight which was changed to no contest, he woul dhave been 49-4 with 45 knockouts.

  • @mapache11 Great fighters win great fights..Tyson never managed to do that. He lost every real war he found himself in.

Great fighters beat other great fighters in prime. Tyson never managed to do that. His record is made up of has been and bums. Would you call Ricky Hatton great? Yet his record is 48 2.

Great fighter avenge at least some of their losses. Tyson never avenged one of his.

    Tyson was average at best.

  • @ManlnCognito ..and who did he lose the wars to? By your argument Holyfield and Lewis are average too.

  • @mapache11 Every time Tyson was really challenged he lost. Buster Douglass, a journeyman was the first to properly test Tyson...and Tyson crumbled. He was exposed for the limited one dimensional fighter that he was. Holyfield Lewis, even the two bums who stopped him. Tyson Never once mixed it with a game opponent and won...FACT

  • @ManlnCognito ..define "journeyman".

  • @mapache11 A second rate fighter, nothing special

  • @ManlnCognito ..second rate fighters don't get ranked in the top ten in their weight categories dipshit.

  • @ManlnCognito ..Tyson wanted to fight Douglas and Don King didn't want to pay Douglas what he wanted. FACT.

  • @mapache11 If tyson had wanted a rematch with douglas it would have happened....it would have been the richest fight in boxing at the time

  • @ManlnCognito ...Don King made it not happen. You greatly underestimate the power promoters have. Yes, Ricky Hatton is also a great fighter. How does losing to two of the best pound for pound fighters EVER make his record bad? I think the guys at Ring Magazine who called him fighter of the year know what they are talking about.

  • @mapache11 Ricky Hatton was good fighter not a great one. Just like Tyson...there's difference.

Have I ever said I didn't think Tyson was in the top ten? I think he was, I'd put him sixth. Why would Don King put a stop to Tyson Douglas ll? The fight would have made him a fortune. The fight didn't happen because Tyson and his people knew a second loss to Douglas would have ended Tyson career

  • @ManlnCognito ...A few posts back you said all he beat were bums and has-beens. Now you have him 6th All Time? If someone is ranked in the top ten all time, they were great, not good.

Do some fucking research. Douglas wanted more money than King wanted to pay. It isn't rocket science dickhead.

  • @mapache11 What is it with you Tyson nuthuggers? Can you name me one great fighter who Tyson beat in their prime? Can you show me one epic battle where Tyson overcame adversity and won?

Why shouldn't Douglass have got the Lions share of the purse? he was champion, he beat Tyson he should have been well paid for the rematch...Tyson and his people just didn't want it and used money as an excuse

  • @ManlnCognito ..I didn't say he didn't deserve millions. I said that DON KING didn't want to pay him what he wanted. Fuckwad.

I'll go back to my example of Valero. Use your same ridiculous arguments about adversity and epic battles. The guy was 27-0 with 27 knockouts. According to your fucked up criteria, he was also "good" not "great". it isn't his fault he was so good he knocked everyone out.

  • @mapache11 That's bullshit, How do you know any of this? were you there when they were negotiating the fight? It doesn't make since other than King and Tyson didn't want the fight. Holyfield didn't have any problems getting a deal with Douglas so why couldn't king?

    You're full of it

  • @ManlnCognito ..There are a lot of stories about why they never had a rematch and none of them involve Tyson being afraid. The trouble negotiating the rematch started because the winner of the fight was supposed to face Holyfield. Holyfield's people wanted money to step aside. Then Douglas dropped Don King as his manager for various reasons that have been speculated.

  • @mapache11 ..money was one issue, and so was King wanting the rematch sooner than Douglas wanted to fight. Then Holyfield didn't want to wait almost a year for a title shot. So Douglas lost to Holyfield. Then Tyson had a chance to fight for the championship again, or fight the guy who took his title. Who would you choose??

  • @ManlnCognito

Why wouldn't they want the fight?

Tyson wanted it. He said it various times right after the bout. Even when he and Buster sat down and talked on HBO with Merchant, Tyson wanted it. It was very clear.

Buster tended to hesitate during talks...even years later when asked why it didn't happen. In the end, the story seemed to be that he didn't like how he was treated, it was to soon, and he had trouble dealing with Don King.

But he was offered a huge purse to fight Tyson again.

  • Douglas declined at the time and Holyfied got the match because there was an offer on the table of around 24 million dollars (depending on which reports you read).

Holyfield and Douglas fought and Tyson was left to rebuild his career. Remember, Tyson fought just 4 months later. Douglas, 8 months later.

Tyson knew he had to stay in the gym and stay active this time around. Douglas I guess wanted time off to enjoy his title and didn't want to be pushed around by King. Sad part is, he got fat/lazy

  • @ManlnCognito

If Marciano gets credit for fighting LH's, surely Tyson can for Spinks considering Spinks was younger than who Marciano faced, still in his prime, undefeated at the time, and was regarded by "Ring" to be lineal HW Champion (which he won beating Larry Holmes). So there is your one Great Fighter he beat.

Overcame adversity: well he was hurt in the first Ruddock fight. And the second fight was a tough fight. He was also down on points against Both and knocked him out.

  • @Orangewind I didn't rate Marciano either...he was to small.

Spinks was not great. He only had 33 fights and only six of those at heavyweight. Two controversial decisions over old man Holmes. two victories over guys outside the top ten. a victory over the over rated Gerry Cooney and his loss tow Tyson.

Ruddock?..is that the same guy who Lennox Lewis annihilated in one round?

  • @ManlnCognito

Spinks was "Great" at LH. First fight I don't think was so controversial with Holmes. Second fight, yeah; that was talked about more.

Lewis fought a lot of fighters that Tyson had already fought. Ruddock had two tough fights with Tyson before even getting in the ring with Lewis. Ruddock said those fights took a lot out of him. Not only Ruddock, but Tyson claimed that by the second fight with Ruddock, he basically felt he just didn't have it anymore.

  • The point with the Ruddock fight, specifically the first fight, was that Ruddock had Tyson hurt but Tyson didn't fold. He came back and won. That gets rid of the b.s. that all you have to do is stand up to Tyson and punch him in the mouth and he will fold. It's a lot harder than that.

For adversity in general; His whole life has been filled with it. He could have quit long before he even turned Pro or even won the title. He didn't.

  • @ManlnCognito ..show me a list by any boxing authority that doesn't have Tyson in the top ten heavyweights all time. ESPN even has him ranked 50th on their all time boxing greats.

I've answered your question about Hatton. Now you answer mine about Valero.

  • @ManlnCognito

mapache11, is right. Don King didn't get it done. It was pretty well known Tyson wanted the rematch. He stated it to Don to get it done no matter what and even to the press on several occasions that , that was the fight he wanted.

Tyson wanted it sooner than Douglas wanted it. Tyson wanted it in June, Douglas, no sooner than September.

The reason why Tyson still had confidence for a rematch in winning against Douglas was that he didn't train. Pretty simple.

  • He was getting beat up in sparring. You know he was tagged up by Trevor Berbick in sparring (for Douglas)? That's how bad he was. He was not fit to fight. Not Mentally, not physically. He was overweight just weeks before the fight. And he didn't train the same way. He didn't even use the "Willy" system anymore either. The "Willy" helped Tyson hone those skills he needed for accurate, fast, hard, combination punching...all through timing. He stopped doing it after Rooney.

  • @ManlnCognito ..Ali couldn't knock down Leon Spinks, in 2 fights. Does that take away from his greatness? Douglas had a great night. Tyson wasn't prepared.

  • @mapache11 How do you know Tyson wasn't prepared for Douglas? He said he was at the time and post fight never used poor conditioning as an excuse.

Douglas never achieved anything in boxing other than that one victory over Tyson. He was destroyed in two rounds by Holyfield....and don't get frustrated and resort to name calling...it means your struggling to come back with a reasoned response.

  • @ManlnCognito ..his losses would have been to Lewis and Holyfield, who I assume you think are bums too, and Douglas, who fought the fight of his life.

Based on your criteria of a fighter winning after being knocked down and having to be in an epic fight, than Edwin Valero wasn't great either.

  • That's amazing. They are neck and neck and he's able to get off punches with that kind of ferocity.

  • yep, That means he could you out with ease even in the phone booth.

  • It´s Cool!!

  • LOL

  • why was the ref useless?

  • He wasn't. He was doing his job right. supra16's just an idiot.

  • ERES EL MEJOR MIKE TYSON

  • ROFL THE REF IS USELESS

  • truth is you're useless, if u admit that to yourself one day you'll understand

  • @rbkais

no, he gives thanks for Allah, nobody pray in the ring))

  • The most famous cliche is that Mike Tyson is the smaller then the other boxer, but that Bruno guy looked big. He had to jump punch the guy. He's given Midgets and Dwarfs a New Hope ;)

That was the First Mike Tyson Fight I've seen.....

  • Fucking rage gorilla

  • Sorry, Bruno also took the fight for Money, that was his only motivating force

  • Its sad when you think Frank could have just retired after Mccall fight, I don't know if he was right to take the fight though...Why not an easy defence against someone...later i found he was tied by contract by Don King

  • You can really see the Difference between Tyson here and back in 1988. He's punches were

more accurate and at lightning speed back then. Here all he has is the Power but with less speed and accuracy.

  • @revious83......If they can't see what you are saying for themself you won't be able to persuade them other wise. Some people are oblivious on this subject.

85-88 Tyson had more than Tyson of later years, only thing he had in later years and never lost was his powerful punch, but endurance, handspeed and throwing more than just a haymaker during a fight he didn't have in later years. If one can't see this they are ignoring what was going on.

    .

  • so true his technique in 88 so much better, trading punches was not the right direciton for tyson. his strategy in his prime under rooney made him unstoppable

  • @revious83 he looked fast to me

  • the problem is he went from the style he was taught (infighting with a lot of ducking and weaving) to being a head hunter brawler type. He got arrogant cause he thought he was invincible. Even so he was still an amazing boxer. Wish boxing was still as interesting now a days

  • @TheRougeStallion

Same, hate to say it but boxing is getting out muscled by MMA.

  • truth be told the reason MMA is more interesting nowadays is cause boxing is just 2 out boxers tring to find a counter chance. There are no true blue infighters in todays day and age so boxing has become rather boring

  • The Heavy weight is joke nowadays. Who can remember who they are? Who cares? The real action is shifted Manny and Mayweather, Cotto, those are names that matter. I watched a recent heavyweight bout with Haye. it was dull.

  • oh the Americans are raining supreme in heavyweight (the one that matters) boxing nowadays aren't they....no....no wait they aren't, david haye is isn't he....yes. (along with 2 eastern european things.

  • two bad ass Ukrainians

  • i'm half ukrainian

  • Bruno was shocking in this! even Tyson admits that when he was hit by him it hurt, but should do for his size, but he was to damn slow for Tyson

  • I think that elbow is what finished Bruno.

  • and then lennox lewis sorts tyson out with a ko

    bye!

  • tyson is the best fighter ever he's so bomb

  • moked english boxing until lewis came along

  • Tyson didn't cheat. Tyson has a bulldog setup. His fist stay cuffed inside close to his shoulders allowing him to utilized the entire turn of his body giving him maximum power. So occasionally a slip might happen coming from the side when an opponent dodges too fast and they will get close to his elbows. But he didn't cheat.

  • helal sana yaa

  • English you dick fuck dip shit Turk

  • Frank Bruno was the first person to ROCK Mike Tyson with a punch!! He was scared to death in both fights but he rang Mikes bell GOOD in their first fight. Left hook I think it was.... I'm gonna go look for it.

  • Even though hes a "bad man" hes a good boxer.

  • @BMM51 i think hes not a bad man, but a lot of shit happend in his life

  • @BMM51 he's better man than a boxer , and he's a champion

  • Ukraine? ....... lol, mike tysons penis will fuck up your entire country,....lol how dare u insult iron mike.

  • Shut up man !!!

Im from Ukraine but i dont think like

    MarkoInvincible!!!

    Tyson is my favourite boxer!

  • Damn there is some bear power in those punches

  • the idea of allowing bruno and tyson to fight is basically allowing murder. they don't even do the same sport. god bless you frank. you're a good man. don't walk down any dark alleyways...

  • Bruno wasn't bad... He wasn't great but he did have decent boxing statistics. He only lost 5 fights in his career!

Youre right though, in one respect. He wasn't a title contender. Bruno got the title by circumstance, instead of making him a legend it made him an easy target.

Its sad really, he was a decent boxer.

  • oh i forgot the champ is brit right now, where are the americans? must be pussies huh

  • Brit champ? Who? The greatest Heavyweight champs have always been Americans. Just because Americans are not representing right now, does not mean they won't come up again. The Klitschkos straight up own the division.

  • Yeah like Ricky Hatton roflmao! heavyweight boxing is dead thats why.

  • Mike did take a good shot from Frank. But when I watched it, I was just waiting for the KO of frank.

  • bruno such dick

  • bruno was terrified

  • he was called to violent in 1994 then he knocked down the referee and hit a guy in the balls

  • actually his the greatest fighter ever since he was young boy

  • best

  • why did Tyson go to prison ??

  • rape

  • He raped someone.

  • actually he was accused for rape.. but weather or not he did it is still not really entirely known

  • He was found guilty of rape, thats different to being accused of rape

  • weather? you mean "whether"

  • and assult

  • fabricated raping, you will do anything for money

  • look a lil like shaba ranks...... SHABA! lol i just noticed but fact is, nobody could fuck wit tyson in his prime PERIOD

  • tyson the best

  • who has never fought should not criticise...start training then you can talk...

  • i think i saw an elbow like on the beginning of the video? did you guys see that?
