  • That house they talk about in Canada and show at the same time looks like it may be 1000 sq ft. But I am interested in these furnaces, Contrary to what Cobalt120 says they are not banned anywhere I live in eastern Ontario, they are everywhere here.

  • Heh. This would be banned immediately in EU as it's nowhere near fulfilling the environmental standards.

  • @PETEBJ75 Wow - that's pretty interesting. Which standards? Where can I read up on this? Thanks...

  • @sixstringsmark

    Actually PETEBJ75 is correct.

Even the videos claim about the Person in central Canada heating all winter with the furnace. They didn't mention that it took more than 150% the amount of wood to heat the home than a conventional indoor controlled air wood furnace.

Many places in Canada have banned these furnaces as well as they don't even get close to eco guidelines for smoke and efficiency.

Even my fathers 35 year old cast iron furnace with heat exchanger is more than twice as efficient as the outdoor boilers.

I've done years of research on these outdoor boiler type furnaces, and none are particularly efficient, even the indoor models.
