Hey GuyBoxerDog! You ever seen Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert? Man, they play Freebird in every fuckin' show! Talk about a recycled bit! (turning off sarcasm mode....)
i hear what you say but i think the over all act and tone is 2nd to none for me. He may not excel in every area of his act but he still keeps high marks in all areas. Bill was more a social commentator than a full on laugh outload comedian. He made you think and see the funny side of some serious topics (kennedy for one) which is rare in todays mass market comedy. Right now i feel doug stanhope is the closest we have to bill. when i saw him he was very drunk and going off on tangents but great.
@moss1066 I think SaneMan was my favourite of his but like them all there was a lot of recycled routines. I love that heckler attack vid though. "I'M A DRUNK CUUUNNT"
Not a very funny guy, don't get me wrong he makes me laugh but I see him more as a stand up commentator than a comedian. And in that sense he is a fucking genius
@guyboxerdog if you dont get irony you must be a yank. Bill is a American who wishes the best from the world. a rare breed.....especially from the retarded states.....but yes a fucking genius
@guyboxerdog i see your not a yank, your from here in the shitty uk so that worries me.... that you can be so obtuse. Sorry but Bill is a legend before his time.
@moss1066 Bill was funny but not hilarious. He also laboured the point to long (see the bit about his mum asking if he still does the "eat pussy" bit in his act) and dragged out too long. Also he re used too many times. Take the "Jesus never wants to see another cross" gag. Grat gag but in EVERY set. I love Bill and we need him more than ever with flotsma like Dane Cook, Gallagher, Lee Evans, and JAson Manford running the gauntlet. But I don't think he was the perfect legend many think.
@guyboxerdog I do view him as some kind of public poet, as a bridge between his audience and underlying truths of the human condition. When truths are expressed by someone as lucid as Bill was, they come out with such a clarity, that resonates with me personally more than with any other "comedian."
"Never have I come across a man of such beautiful darkness, that could make me laugh so damn hard."
@guyboxerdog I think you missed the point about the ''eat pussy'' sketch. He hated it. He was making a point about the audience and the nature of 'dick jokes'. The prolonging of the sketch was to illustrate the point, and the fact that it was drawn out gave notice to the unnecessary and mundane nature of the subject.
@RiffCantrell Ok, maybe. I still think he lacked new material and laboured on too much. However, he is still a vital man and the world is a better place for what he gave us and a worse one now he is gone so please do not think I am anti Bill but I just think different to some regarding his legacyt
@inverhillsphilo I'm really not sure why I'm replying to your comment. But you don't make any kind sense what-so-ever... take some mushrooms and squeegee your third eye then you'll see how much of a Tool your being. Get a life, because it sure ain't Youtube. fucking cunt

I love Bill. I swear, he is one of the only Americans who can actually do British and Australian accents justice.
