You almost always have to obtain a search warrant to search a persons residence unless they give you permission to look around when you are there. Plus, in this video I don't recall observing the officer search the vehicle.

The owner is under arrest and has given the police officer probable cause to search the vehicle. While the cop most definitely was in the wrong with this entire stop and I hope he was taken to court over it, he was not in the wrong for opening and searching the vehicle.

The reason is the cop had absolutely no reason to place him under arrest making the taseing police brutality. See when a cop doesn't tell you why you've been pulled over or exactly the speed you were going to warrant a traffic stop then he isn't doing his job properly and can't issue you a ticket.
A traffic ticket is a misdemeanor. The officer has choice to arrest or not arrest. If the guy won't sign the ticket AND he is a flight risk since he's from out of state it's TOTALLY within the cops rights to arrest the guy. He got what he deserved.

Respect should be mutual. This officer thinks he is right beyond question. When challenged intellectually and unable to offer a reasonable answer, he retaliates by using the only means left to him; force. He then begins immediately embellishing his story to the other officer adding the subtle lie that he said "Turn around right now or I'll taser you." If officers allow reasonable interactions, accept judgement errors on both sides, this and many other violent incidents would be avoided.

I see no reason why not to tase the guy. He was not complying with the officer. If he would have just complied all would have been okay and it could have been a simple traffic ticket that was probably $130 all depending on his speed. A traffic ticket is a misdemeanor. The officer has choice to arrest or not arrest. If the guy won't sign the ticket AND he is a flight risk since he's from out of state it's TOTALLY within the cops rights to arrest the guy. He got what he deserved.
