  • The vids host obviously is a dick. Please disregard this sucky vid. It's a waste of your time. Instead, watch the thousands of beautiful chiropractic videos, including the news station videos of chiropractic miracles: "Man blind in one eye can now see after a chiropractic adjustment". "Chiropractic helps with ADD", "Chiropractic helps woman become pregnant", "Chiropractic helps with childrens ear infections", etc. Happy watching chiropractic miracles!

  • @chiropractic47 Yeah...because TV news is the place to go for accurate science!

  • @JPO1618 And I guess it's safe to say you bestow all faith in "Medi-Pharma Junk Science"...you know, the rampant type of which medical and pharmaceutical entities purposely skew the results of studies so thay fit the drup development pipeline? The people want chiropractic...the fastest growing primary health care in the world. Chiropractic for all!

  • @chiropractic47 Just fair warning to you, if you continue to write "Chiropractic for all!" you will be blocked - you clearly are not interested in a dialogue.

  • @JPO1618 "interested in dialogue"? You response to every post, wether mine or any pro-chiropractic, was with contempt, borderlining in censure, which you now threaten of me. Go ahead and block me. Chiropractic for all!

  • @chiropractic47 I have asked for evidence that what I say is incorrect; you are happy to insult me and say 'Google it' without actually engaging me at all. You were warned, now you are blocked.

  • Only 15% of medicine is upheld by science. The vids host is a loser due to his refusal to change his lifestyle and recieve chiropractic rehabilitation for his spine and nervous system. He expected pain relief from his first chiropractic visit. I didn't expect a resolution to gum disease on the first dental visit. So what's his subliminual agenda? Bash chiropractic because it requires him to participate in his recovery....too much for him to handle, so he vents....What a loser.

  • @chiropractic47 Why do you feel that personal attacks are the most convincing and effective route to take? Or are you simply anti-chiro-trolling?

And where do you get your stats? What is this 15% of medicine? Where have you read this?

  • @JPO1618 Of course you deserve a personal attack, you started it. A challenge for you to do some research....Google it! Only 15% of that medicine makes claim is set in hard core science.

  • @chiropractic47 Are you seriously like 14 years old? I started it? With whom, the chiropractic-fanatic community? I have made NO personal attacks. I try to deal in facts, not insults. I will ask again where you find this statistic. I have no problem debating issues if the other people are fair and polite. Perhaps I am wrong, but unless you provide links like I have, I don't know what other course of action I should take. I am happen to be shown to be wrong, but not called a loser

  • @JPO1618 Go back over your posts and the truth will be revealed.

  • @chiropractic47 That's it? That's your whole response? I am honestly looking for the truth, you claim to have it be insist on acting like a dick about it. Quote me where I have attacked someone; give me actual info, or just go away and stop bothering me like a child.

  • @JPO1618 Whoa dude...chill it. Aren't ya kinda of freaking here? I thought I provided an awesome response. Calm down, relax. Here, put your feet up on this here ottoman. I'll get you a glass of wine. (Dude needs a "Chill Pill").

  • The dude in this vid actually help chiropractic due to his very strange attire and demeanure. To the maker of this vid...Chiropractic owes you a thanks. Get adjusted and be well.

  • I urge all who visit tis horridly uninformative vid to type: "Chiropractic in the news" or "Chiropractic Miracles"into the YouTube browser and feast your eyes on the chiropractic world and the overwhelming research by DC's, MD's, and PhD's supporting chiropractic. This vid sucka and should be banned on the grounds that the maker was under the influence of prescription meds. Chiropractic for all!

  • It wa a British study that found chiropractic most effective for colic. All international studies (Magna Report New Zealand Study, etc.) that found chiropractic the most rffective and safest. Has anyone paid notice to the vids queer drrss and demeanure? The dude's a mess. Chiropractic for all!

  • @chiropractic47 So that's it? Lower back pain (I am assuming) and colic? There seems to be no consensus among the chiropractic community about what they think are "effective non-musculoskeletal conditions". Even reports that I would expect to find bias, they still hedge their conclusions like "Chiropractic care is an ALTERNATIVE approach to the care of the child with colic." (emphasis mine) from "The chiropractic care of infants with colic: a systematic review of the literature"

  • @JPO1618 It should be of no concern that one will always find non chiropractic publications referring to chiropractic as "Alternative"...so what's your point? Chiropractic for all!

  • @chiropractic47 You sound, and are appearing more and more to be brainwashed with your "Chiropractic for all!" tagline. This is in a Chiro publication, just google the title.

Why is it that chiropractors themselves cannot decide on what conditions they feel are effectively and ineffectively treated by chiropractic care?

  • @JPO1618 Shmuck, chiropractic makes no claim to treat anything i.e. condition nor disease. Chiropractic simply detects then corrects vertebral subluxations which may interfere with nerve flow to the tissues of the body and advize on a healthful lifestyle. The vids host complains he felt no difference folowing the chiropractic visit. A prime example that he awaits the effect afforded a pain killer, instead of retraining the spine to hold proper adjustment leading to less pain.

  • @chiropractic47 Who cares what I say!? I don't. But are the majority of chiropractic claims backed by good evidence? No.

  • @JPO1618 Chiropractic makes claim to the detection then correction of vertebral subluxation which can cause impedence of electrical energy of the adjacent neural tissues. Can these nervous system irritations cause visceral, dermal, musculoskeletal, etc. abberations? ABSOLUTELY! And this is substantiated in many peer review studies. Take a headache for example...a situation that majority of the time involves subluxations of the cervical spine region.

  • @chiropractic47 "which can cause impedence of electrical energy"? Really? Maybe it's me, but that doesn't sound all that medical and a little woo-woo-y.

  • @JPO1618 Oh, I'm sorry. Did I write that nerve impulses are electrical impulses? Let's see...hmmm, they are. Not "woo-woo-y. The nervous sytem impulses that send signals to all cells is indeed an electrical impulse. In fact, it has been determined that the sum total of the bodies electrical energy can power the bulb of a small flashlight. Come on...Google it.

  • Chiropractic is very safe and effective. This maker of this vid and its shills suck.

  • @chiropractic47 SOME treatments are effective, though hardly ALL that most claim. What are your claims chiropractic(totally unbiased viewpoint)47?

  • @JPO1618 If you haven't read PubMed, Spine, JAMA, etc.undisputable research rock solidly putting chiropractic at the top then there's no use in debating the wonderful aspects and achievements with you. Chiropractic for all!

  • @chiropractic47 I, in fact, cite studies from PubMed in the video, As for your personal attacks - they just go to show the intelligence level that you are using: low. Searching for 'miracles' on youtube is going to find you a bunch of testimonials that amount to almost nothing in terms of convincing evidence.

  • Yup, just like all other forms of CAM, short on evidence and long on wind. If alt-med were legitimate, it would simply be medicine.

  • what kills me is how people think chiros are fighting the good fight against 'big pharma' . A simple search of some of the cheezy salespitches by them on here shows what money grubbing hucksters some of them are. Read up on its founder to see how crazy this stuff is.

  • "The plural of anecdote is not data" - brilliant

  • Here's the thing.

The current state of chiropractic is like the beginnings of psychology. There is a TON of bs and bad science/non-science along with some actual real stuff. Take your skepticism to the next level and ask yourself if some or even the majority of chiropractors make false claims if it means that all of chiropractic has no validity at all. As for why chiropractic is supported by your Gov look at their own independent research on chiro and what services are actually covered.

  • IMO, more Chiros these days are turning to business building and practice management TECHNIQUES" to build their INCOME rather than worrying whether or not the adjustments they do actually provide any long term benefit. They seem to rely heavily on scare tactics, using power point presentations of spinal deformities, bone spurs, arthritis etc, to scare and COERCE you into signing a LONG TERM HEALTH CARE PLAN! And similarly spend very little time actually "diagnosing" or even LISTENING to patients

  • These spine-wizards are mountebanks who happily promote bogus treatments.

  • "Where's the research?"

Ah, all over medline for all to see.

  • @allrippedup1 For lower back pain? yes. For other claims? The evidence is specious at best. And various claims are made for untested and unverified claims by official chiropractic associations and their practitioners.

  • i was wrong about u. u actually made a good video!!! congratulations! i'l leave u alone now.

  • "The plural of anecdotes is not data" - very well said, haha. And painfully true.

  • When modern chiropractic care is applied to muscular/skeletal issues, effective treatment is possible. The better educated practitioners have moved on from the primitive "spinal manipulation" approach. The "Activator Method" is far superior. Attempting to treat asthma through spinal manipulation is absurd. Dietary, emotional and environmental triggers must be addressed for long-term success.

  • @ThoughtCriminal696 ah sweet Ive finally found a proponent of this activator...would you be so kind as to inform us HOW the activator actually works...that is, what is the mechanism of action? Like, exactly. dont be afraid to use "medical terms"

  • @jns124able Since I'm not a chiropractor, and I'm not trying to sell you anything, I am in no way obligated to explain the "mechanism of action" to you or anyone else. It's really not that complicated. If you actually want to know, you could easily look it up. Since I am speaking from repeatable and consistent experience, I have all the evidence I need. And BTW, I have met several chiros who's methods and claims were dubious, so I know the difference.

  • @ThoughtCriminal696 Just because one's personal experience has been "repeatable and consistent" does not mean that the practice has been proven effective. Surely you know of the placebo effect and of the subjectivity of pain experience. You promote a method without being willing to back it up. This makes your claims difficult to have confidence in.

  • @JPO1618 No, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to let the "placebo" arguement pass. That concept is based on belief of both patient and practitioner in the efficacy of the treatment. My initial chiropractic experience was the "manipulator" type, with which I did find real relief from my symptoms. After moving to a new area, I needed to find a new chiropractor. The one I chose just happened to use the Activator. I was skeptical because it was different... but it worked, so...?

  • @ThoughtCriminal696 It worked based on? A huge fraction of patients with back pain recover and get better ON THEIR OWN and WITH MORE MOBILITY (exercise, massage, etc). Based on what can you prove that it was the adjustments or the Activator that improved your condition? Adjustments to the spine can cause release of pain-reducing neurotransmitters, but that does not mean that the adjustments produce long-term healing.

  • @ThoughtCriminal696 whoa now...no one said you were selling anything or that YOU were obliged to explain a mechanism of action if you dont know it thats fine. lol relax. Ive come across many chiros who cannot tell me how this activator is supposed to work...that being the case, and that Ive done some of my own lit research into it and NOT found my answer, I am assuming the answer is either not that simple or not there to be found. If it "works" there must be a mechanism.

  • @ThoughtCriminal696 You have all the evidence you need? That is scientific? So if I waved a magic wand every morning and the sun came up, that is enough evidence for me that my magic made the sun go up every morning?

  • go do some more researching then repost if with out your ugly face in it! ;)

  • @BubbleYum221 Easy to say for someone with zero video uploads. I've done the research, if you have a real counter argument to make then I am all ears, but if your goal is just to be insulting, then fuck off. ;)

  • @JPO1618 No...you must fuck-off. Chiropractic for your depressioin pal, STAT!.

  • In which way am I an idiot? By researching the ACTUAL effectiveness of "medical" claims and finding them to be lacking?

  • you're a freaken idiot dude!
