your house looks expensive im sure you could afford to give the betta an appropiate home and its needs ........ live plants 3 blood worms each week as a treat and tropical fish flake 3 small meals a day ? Bettas are semi tropical from thyland they live in the large rice paddie fields the wATER someTIMES up to a metre deep.................. the betta is sufering
This girl was probably uneducated about how to care for a Betta by a Pet Shop worker......... bettas need at least 30-40 litres a heater at 25 degrees and a 20 % water change each week not the whole WATER and they need a varied diet and the water SHOULD BE CYCLED.

I mean, I could live in jail all my life and still be alive. it is the the case when it comes to bettas. They do enjoy having alot of swimming space. Also, you should never clear out the whole fish tank/bowl as you are getting rid of the beneficial bacteria that live in the gravel. I hope this helps, for more information just send me a message. :)

Take out the tower and get some plants. NOT I repeat NOT use plastic. You can use silk or live. Live will need light though.
