  • Love this scene- always reminds me that if Mortimer or Manco had been one of the bounty hunters who had showed up to collect the bounty on the cowboys who roughed up the whores in "Unforgiven", Sheriff Bill, William Munny, Ned & the Kid (not to mention English Bob and his bitch writer) would have been dead, probably within minutes of these two showing up. There's class, and then there's CLASS, man. lol.

  • the best lee van cleef

  • take it to the station

    take it back

    take it to the station

    take it ..

    wooaahhhaaaaaa!

wanna know how asians name their children? they throw pots and pans down the stairs.. ping pang pong ping.

  • We used to shoot pistols at the junk yard. Once in a while we'd get a round to whirl and spin off something and make that exact sound. Of course in the movie its fake...but in real life they sound nearly like that.

  • always loved the sound effects of these bullets. "BWWRRAAANG ! PEEEEAARRNGG !" :D

  • Great scene! Is this called feeling each other out?

  • @mozeus5 haha you could say that!

  • 2:37 - 3:05

Truly the most awesome scene in the entire film :D

  • Classic's classic !

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I LOVE THIS DUEL!

  • Great scene -

  • omg red dead redemption is so inspired by these flicks and that game got me wanting to watch all of em now

  • Lee Van Cleef rocks! Amazing scene!!!

  • Best Scene in the Film

  • I agree. My favorite scene as well. But the end duel scene came close.

  • I suspect Michael Bay (the absolute antichrist in this context!) would not hesitate to 'direct' a remake of these films. If the unthinkable were to pass, Lee would rise from the grace to exact a terrible vengeance!

  • if anyone tries to remake any of these, i swear i will hack em to bits and mail the head to clint eastwood.

  • You need some help with that, cuz I am fucking down. I am so tired of hollywood remaking and ruining movies just because their shit writers can't come up with anything new.

  • That makes you sound stupid. Hollywood isn't a collective organization and they don't have a group of writers working for them.

  • @geonerd amen

  • @geonerd

He might try, but that would be impossible. Michael Bay doesn't understand tension in a scene, and he is all about two second rapid cuts and tons of explosions. Heck if he wanted to have close-ups of anything it would probably be the breasts of some eye-candy girl in his movies.

Here's what Michael Bay would do. He'd have those kids watching cracking silly remarks and become sidekicks to the main characters,so that they can explain the plot to the audience. Lots of train crashes too.

  • @geonerd

    You are right

    This MUST NOT be remade

  • this is the best scene EVER!

  • So was Lee Van Cleef supposed to be better than Clint Eastwood in this show?

  • no, lol, he got shot in "the good, the bad, and the ugly". watch the whole trilogy...it gets even better in "the good the bad and the ugly"

  • I have TGTBTU :P

  • oh, i get what you were saying...lol. i feel stupid now

  • Lol, you can see the wire connected to the hat.

  • Take it to the station, the gentlement is leaving !!

  • i dont get this scene.

why is clint shooting the hat instead of the man ?

after shooting the hat a few times, why does he stop shooting the hat, and why does he start shooting near the mans feet. whats the purpose of shooting near the mans feet ? why not the hat again ? why does he miss the hat in the last shot ?

  • it's a trick lol. clint tries to piss lee off, by shooting the hat out of his hand all the time. Lee; however, follows the hat to see how far can clint shoot. at some point, clint misses the hat - he cannot shoot precise at that point. then clint shoots before lee's feet, as if saying "now, can you do better?" Lee then proceeds to shoot the hat a couple of times in teh air, showing that he is better and Clint shouldnt mess with him.

  • its still a bit weird. why does clint miss shooting the hat ? lee was not that far away. surely clint can shoot a hat from that distance. if clint can shoot below lees feet, he can surely shoot the hat ? a bit odd to say the least.

  • Clint missed the hat because his gun is not accurate at that distance. This was Lee's trick - once he knew Clint's gun is out of range, then it was his turn to take out his gun, which was special and had longer range.

  • Did anyone notice in all the excitement, that Clint only fired 5 shots before reloading? ( 5th shot missed Lee's hat). Lee did hit Clint's hat 6/6 times. Go ahead, make my day.

  • 1:51 flips out lol

  • THIS - IS - CINEMA!

  • Mortimer > Manco.

  • That asian guy and the crazy old man(miner?) make some of this a bit camp/comic book... but it somehow fits fine in the genre, still being cool

  • NO HOLES! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

  • LOL at the ´´poing´´ sound at the end.

  • This is one of my favorite films.

Ther will never be another Clint Eastwood or another Lee Van Cleef.

  • i was just thinking this my damn self...this is one of the greatest westerns made...the best western trilogy of all time!!

  • lol, if i would be that black hat guy (sorry but ive never seen teh films) i would have just shot back :D

  • 3:05, 1 PUNCH & HE FLEW

  • i knw eh,

  • Of course! He's goddamn CLINT EASTWOOD!! :D:D

  • It's been said before, but those tards at Hollywood better not ever remake this classic...they almost tried to get their grubby hands on Casablanca

  • Anyone who tries to remake these movies is looking for a bullet in his guts, eh Blondie?

  • I sure missed the simpler days mate,a time when men settle things with a pistol,no lawsuits,no court,no lawyers involve.

  • i believe they never happened

  • they had courts back then and lawyers are you a idiot, there were not as many pistol duels as they show on tv, you either got shot or shot back in self defense

  • The good old days!!!!

  • ;))) clint must of really hate shinny black boots.

  • How come the Yanks could never make them as good as this ??

  • I love this movie, and I love this scene. That more Chinese man in the beginning of the clip.

"Oh, shit, what am I doing? Is he looking? Yes. Is he going to shoot me? Oh, shit..."

  • That was supposed to say, 'that poor Chinese man', not 'that more Chinese man'.

  • a falling cowboy hat sounds remarkably similar to that of a coyote attached to an anvil falling of the edge of cliff.

  • They'll never be able to re-make these movies!

  • For sure, damn... First of all, they should forget the use of steady-cam, then LEARN WHAT CINEMA REALLY IS.

  • We can only hope they never try!

  • Sweet

  • do you have the flashback scene?

  • damn i love these movies

  • He gave him a boner at the end.

  • I don't think the impact from a bullet can move a cloth hat. it will only go straight trough it. =/

  • as the mythbusters have already proved

  • CLASSIC

  • eastwood, van cleef, the cushing and lee of westerns.

    great clip

  • Dig those ricochet sounds echoing in the dark.....

  • Damn I miss movies like these.

  • DOINGA!

  • corny, but cool

  • It's not corny, it's because you've been a victim to many movies doing their interpretation of this scene that it has become corny for you, but back in the 60s and 70s this movie was not corny, hollywood made flying hats corny.

  • CLASSIC!

  • ha! i feel sorry for that guy carrying the luggae at the beginning. brilliant scene.

i love the way lee van cleef gets his own back - the look at 5.41 is like "Handle THAT."

  • GOOD STUFF

  • Lee Van Cleef was the best! Thanks very much!

  • hahah perfect

    I love this one

  • is rite,wat an amazin scene,lmao!!!!!

  • I love this, it's so funny! Thanks for uploading!
