To my opinion, Gorbachev is a great man, because He ended the URSS, he ended the USSR's oppression, a country whom had problems (serious economic problems), the destruction of the USSR allowed to some countries to take their independances. Gorbachev didn't end communism in Russia. The economy was so bad in the 70's and 80's the Soviet Union was practically bankrupt. Gorbachev was the only one that tried to keep it alive with certain reforms.

Это была ситуация, когда голая и полуголодная страна кормила наглую лживую и жирную партийную верхушку. Настоящий социализм возможен только как надстройка над капитализмом. 1. America trying to kill socialism constantly, thus also using it's many satelite states who have no other choice too. (Led to the costly Afghan War for example.)
2. Berlin wall was built because all the Eastern Europeans hated communism simply due to the fact they felt like they were owned by the Soviet Union + Corruption
3. For Commuism to work properly You need enormous economic wealth which again wasn't there due US.

He can see a doctor faster, has better access to drugs, and can see specialist much easier than Europeans.
