Our ped. said she would stop seeing us because of our vaccine decision. Now we have to drive 45mins away and pay 120 out of pocket everytime because this is the only offie that takes non vaccinated children and they do not take your insurance. But the health of my child is soo worth the extra drive and cost. She is 1 1/2 she has never gotten sick other than slight cold symptoms. The health of my child is totally worth the extra commute and money.

its funny how they don't let your kids go into public schools unless they've had the vaccinations. well if they work, it couldn't be spread to the other kids in the rare case your child gets it!

I don't believe in the whole concept of a vaccine. You can't get sick becuase you already are? I work at a hospital with elderly and I used to get every bug when I got flu shots so I stopped and I don't get sick anymore. I start to come down with comething and my immune system takes care of it. Why do we want vaccines and antibiotics to take the place of a healthy immune system. Just eat real food and find joy in life- the best medicine.

More like your body fights off the infection faster because it has already developed an immune response to the microbe. This is important for young children and geriatric patients who are most at risk of morbidity complications. Barbara said it right: we should be given a choice. But we need informed consent, and I doubt that most of us are getting it.
